Customer Questions & Answers

Will this work with the PAS225 power head?

Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, I have used it on mine. Note that mine is stuck on the power head after using it so there may be issues around putting too much torque on the connecting points when using it in more aggressive applications.

The response from ECHO says that the cultivator will work with the PAS225 and the HD associate response is it doesn't work. Which one is correct ?

Asked by: Anonymous
I own the PAS225 and used it with the cultivator. The cultivator attachment now stuck to the power unit though so I would watch out about using it in an application requiring a high level of torque, think lots of rocks and/or roots...

I have the PAS 21.5 smaller power and the product had plenty of power. the vibration is hard on the hands, so switch hands often when using ( I work in an office). I used it on 200SQFT garden and it was great. Not the tiller to be using on raw ground if attempting to make a garden for the first time, but worked great on an existing garden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tool! Gets the job done! My initial thought it's too small to have any bite. Boy was I wrong. It not only performed well but was easy to handle. Small to medium rocks, no problem. I recommend buy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Echo Cultivator Attachment The cultivator is easy to attach and use. The price seems high though. I feel attachments shouldn't be more expensive than the motorized power unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Money well spent!!! I bought a week ago amazing power for such a small package!!! I put it threw it paces! To see if it could meet my echo!! Bullet proof!!! Tests and so far it has it goes threw mulched flower bed licky split!! So I had a hard shale with weeds and grass around an old tree stump and it chewed threw it all no problem except having to pull weeds out of tines so I put trimmer head on and burned them to the ground with the 0.95 crossfire line that seemed to help they were tall to start!! It went threw grass and weed roots and hard ground way better then I thought it passed my test see my review for pro-torque trimmer for pas 225!!! Thank you echo!!! For another bullet proof !!! piece of equipment!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly effective... a little messy Was unsure what to expect. I had a 4 hp Troy-bilt Junior for years and wish I hadn't sold it. I was really surprised how much work the Echo unit put into the ground. It's been 4-5 years since the front yard was tilled. This unit chewed it up really well. It's a bit messy, with a lot of material going off to the sides, but you always have to rake afterward anyhow. For me, it worked best pulling backwards. It beats the walk behind hands down for control (the backsplash provides a nice guide to where the tines are), reach (it's a pretty long setup and you can reach under and between bushes) and coverage (you can get into almost any space with the tiller head).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great I was very sceptical about getting this unit. But in the soil type I have, I am very pleased with its performance. It was able to power through my sandy clay type soil with relative ease. For the small garden I used it on, it worked great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding product This tiller will take 90% of the hoeing out of your garden. It don't like big weeds (it will clear them out but may wrap around the tiller) or rocks. So if you stay up on keeping your garden clean and cleared all the rocks out, then this is the ticket to have.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great for preparing your existing garden soil for planting Performance exceeded my expectation. Worked up my garden soil and mixed in the compost with a fraction of effort used in the past. At 76 I need all the help possible.
