Customer Questions & Answers

What is the size of holes in the netting? Will it keep out rabbits?

Asked by: biol
Yes, I think the hole size is less than an inch in the mesh pattern. However, note the sharp edges on the top and bottom so wear gloves when working with the fencing.

Will this deer barrier keep out small dogs as well?

I would like to install a gate at one end of my garden, will I be able to do this?
Asked by: Jack
With ease! I don't think even a large dog would get through it after trying it a few times and being repulsed by it.

how do you make a gate for entrance into garden area using this material

Asked by: brandee
You could overlap the fence and go in through, like an S turn... if you don't have to do a lot of wheelbarrowing, tilling, etc. this could work.

can this be chewed through?

can this be chewed through?
Asked by: jube
Yes, it can be chewed through. Don't know what did the damage, but I had a small area at the bottom of my fence that either a rabbit or ground hog chewed out, to get out. I was able to cut a small section of the remaining fence, and patch it up tight with zip ties.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Polypropylene and the sun! This fencing is made of polypropylene plastic, it says so right there in the description! Poly propylene degrades in the sun, loosing strength in just hours of exposure to the sun. Look it up. http://www.servicethread.com/blog/the-uv-resistance-of-polypropylene-and-polyester-explained

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Strong netting, made in USA with Full Refund Warranty! This netting is going to work very well to cover some bushes and trees for the winter months and protect them against deer damage. Since it is 7 feet tall, now I won't have to keep wrapping netting all around the trees to cover them. The 100 foot length lets me cover any large area without having to connect multiple barriers together. The black color is nice, as it does blend in well outside. Although the mesh netting seems to be thin, it is actually very tough and appears to be well made. I have tried to pull a square section apart, but it would not break. I like that it is made in the USA and backed with a full refund policy if it does not perform as promised.

Deer used to break and get in my $1000 new flower garden with hardy hibiscus and other plants. So I switched to this heavier duty plastic net. So far too good after a month or so. The 7ft. height is what you need so they do not jump over the net.

This is more robust than the less expensive "deer netting" from the same company. I believe this will last more than the other (a few weeks). I could see this lasting at least a year. I hope 2-3. Note that a determined deer or any animal could get through the net. Deer will just move on when they nose up to the netting and it's too tall to tempt them to jump.

We will see if it works during the winter months. It blends right in to the trees they are protecting so it is not an eye sore to look at. The height is perfect to keep deer out. Regardless, the material is of very good quality and does not tear when attaching to metal posts.

This was to keep critters away from newly planted blackberry bushes over a framework of tomato cages and held down with landscape staples. So far it's working.
