We recommend checking with the device to confirm what battery should be used. If the solar post calls for a NI-CD battery, then a NI-CD battery should be used. Energizer does not manufacture solar light rechargeable batteries, by using the Energizer NIMH 1.2v battery in a device that calls for a NI-CD battery, that could eventually cause damage to the device. An Milliamp Hour(mAh) is a unit for measuring electric power over time. mAh is commonly used to describe the total amount of energy a battery can store at one time. It's the easiest way to distinguish the strength or capacity of a battery. The higher the mAh, the longer the battery will last.

Lithium batteries are far superior in almost every way compared to the NiMH & NiCd, though they are also the most expensive.

The listing says 2300. The question that was answered said 1500. The package says 1400. I bought them assuming the specs were right. Disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to contact Energizer with this question, we would be happy to assist you. The AA 1.2v NIMH rechargeable batteries come in different mAH capacity's. The Powerplus AA are 2300 mAH and the AA Universal are either 1400 mAH or 1500 mAH. If the battery in this packaging is stating 1400 mAH then that would be correct, the mAH is typically located on the battery itself directly Read More

The Powerplus AA are 2300 mAH and the AA Universal are either 1400 mAH or 1500 mAH. If the battery in this packaging is stating 1400 mAH then that would be correct, the mAH is typically located on the battery itself directly under the size at the top of the battery (positive side). In regards to the specs, that does indeed look to be wrong, if these batteries were 2300 mAH the packaging should be reading Recharge PowerPlus, we do apologize for the confusion. The 1500 your seeing on the packaging is simply calling out the number of charge cycles. Please feel free to contact us at 1-800-383-7323 in the future with any additional questions or concerns. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by These are 1500mAh AA batteries The batteries that came with this kit were not fully charged. I used them out of the package in a blue tooth speaker and it only lasted 45 minutes. It took almost 6 hours to recharge them. Now my blue tooth speaker lasts at least 8 hours maybe longer. I also brought 8 additional batteries which I rotate out. December 23, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rechargeable batteries working Great! I had several solar lights that were no longer working and when I finally decided to look at them to see if there was anything that could be done I discovered that they hold rechargeable batteries. After removing the old batteries and cleaning up the contacts I purchases these new replacement batteries and now my solar lights are working like they did when they were brand new!! June 9, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Batteries did not last I bought the Energizer AA rechargeable batteries for outside solar lights. Two batteries for each light and I had 4 lights. They all died within a few days. July 7, 2015
