Customer Questions & Answers

Would this hold a adult bike!

I was wondering if this would hold an adult bike with one on each wheel?
Asked by: Kim
Absolutely. As long as what you attach this hook to will support the weight of the bike.

What size rafter is this designed to hang over

Is the top part of the hanger wide enough to hang over a nominally 4" beam
Asked by: Lacheby
The opening for the part of the hook that attaches to the rafter is 1-3/4 inches. It is designed to hang over a 2x4, 2x6, etc. It will not hang over a 4" beam (3-1.2 actual inches).

How long is the coated part? are all the angles 90*?

I'm interested in hanging them upside down from a narrow brick wall and using the smaller uncoated part as the hook. If coated part is long enough (3.5-3.9" long) it will fit over the brick, but is the little lip angled out so that it wouldn't hold? Just looking to hang folded beach chairs, nothing heavy. Thanks!
Asked by: vbjz
The coated part is 9 1/2" long fron end to end, keeping in mind this is on the bottom curved part which holds your article (see photo). All the angles are 90 degree except for the last coated end which has a very slight bend to aid placing objects on the hook. The coating on this end is solid because it seems to be a dipped coating with texture.
