Product Overview

Simulate the brightness and vividness of natural daylight with these energy-efficient spiral CFL light bulbs (12-pack) from Feit Electric. Each lamp puts out 2800 Lumens of light using just 40-Watt of power, consuming substantially less electricity than a 150-Watt incandescent equivalent. That translates to a savings of $96 in energy costs per bulb over its 8000-hour existence. The 6500K color temperature is stark and bright, suitable for any indoor or enclosed outdoor fixture that accepts a standard-sized E26 medium-bulb base such as these.

  • Brightness: 2800 Lumens
  • Estimated yearly energy cost: $4.82 (based on 3 hours/day, 11¢/kWh. cost depends on rates and use)
  • Life: 7 years (based on 3 hours/day)
  • Light appearance: 6500K (bright white)
  • Energy used: 40-Watt (equivalent to a 150-Watt standard incandescent light bulb)
  • Lumens per watt: 70
  • Uses 73% less energy and lasts up to 8 times longer compared to a standard incandescent light bulb
  • FCC and RoHS compliant
  • Dimmable: no

Answer:
Home Depot or the vendor has supplied the wrong image on this product page. They have the correct image on the product page that allows you to buy a single bulb (see below) rather than this 12-pack. This is indeed a 150W equivalent, which can also be confirmed at feit.com.

150W Equivalent Daylight (6500K) Spiral CFL Light Bulb (12-Pack) is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Daylight at a lower cost per lumen Ordering these by the case was an economical way to replace several of the lights in our house and pool room - the "daylight" color is really a great way to go in the office as it adds detail to documents and makes our sewing station much brighter. As they are a CFL, the lower wattage consumed allowed us to place a higher lumen output bulb in the same fixture - a double win!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All-Around best deal If you grow stuff and want to extend the daylight hrs in the winter months this is the CFL for you. 200W 6500K, 42W actual. Saving 10 actual W over 2-26W 100W CFL's. Buying the case gives u a free extra bulb over buying singles. You can find 5000K, which is the lowest end of the daylight spectrum, but the 6500K in a 200w w/ a reasonable price tag is the way to go. Home Depot seems to hv a lock on this particular product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from These light bulbs rock! Very bright white light (not yellow). They are much brighter than some 40W equivalent to 150W I have. They light up instantly and are close to the 200W output as advertised. The only draw backs are they are a little to big for some light fixtures I have and price could be a little lower. Home Depot should carry them in their stores so they do not need to be ordered online.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice color for open space, but not sure about durability The bulb produces a nice sunlight lumination, however the amount of light does not seem that much different than a regular CFL. A decision to buy this bulb should be based on the sunlight-like effect, which could actually be a negative in some applications. We replaced 12 bulbs in our warehouse and one was burned out in less than a week, so durability may be an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from makes the space come alive I'm using these bulbs in the light fixtures in my church. The ceiling is very dark and was absorbing a lot of the weak yellow light from the light bulbs that we had been using. These light bulbs are super bright. They put out a lot of light right away, but they do take 15-30 seconds to really warm up and reach their brightest. (not a deal breaker by any means- in fact its to be expected for this sort of bulb, and its kind of impressive how short of time it does take to light up) It really has made the space in our sanctuary come alive.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of light & excellent color Light from these bulbs are very clear. I am using these bulbs as replacements on old style mercury fixtures that were rewired. Six bulbs light my entire 40 x 84 barn. Website description listed these bulbs as 200 watt replacements but actual bulb said 150. I ignored this because I was purchasing based on lumens and color. Purchasing a case online saved about $3 per bulb from a local competitor.
