Customer Questions & Answers

is there one strap or two straps in the package?

Asked by: batwing
Two straps, and you won't normally need the extension straps.

How about stairs?

Has anyone used these straps to move a standard size couch up or down stairs?
Asked by: J1goalie
They worked well for us going up and down flights of stairs. It helps to have the tallest stronger person going down first or being at the low point in whichever direction you are heading.

Will these work with a round ceramic grill that weighs about 200 lbs?

Asked by: Vsteely
Yes. you just have to make sure to wrap them around or criss-cross under center of the item.

Can one person use one strap to move items like boxes?

Instead of using a dolly to move a heavy box of books, for example, could one person use one strap to do the job? Or do you have two people on either side? Also are there any size or weight limits on what two people (or one person) should move?
Asked by: Tariq
Never tried it. Looks like there should be two people. As far as weight limits are concerned, I'm confident that the straps can hold anything you and a buddy can lift.

They are fairly easy to use, although the straps have a tendency to slip around when not under tension. That's about my only real issue, and why I only gave them 4 stars. The definitely made lifting bulky objects like mattresses and tall wardrobes easier to control, and heavy objects feel lighter. Watch the video to see how to use them. Be sure to bend your knees, and not your back, to reach the loops and to position the straps in towards the middle of what you are moving. I won't use them for much if I have a strong partner and the thing being moved isn't too bulky or heavy, but I will be glad to have them on hand when my partner isn't particularly strong (like my 120lb daughter) or the objects are tall and/or hard to keep from tilting.

I'm a 60 year-old man, and with my 25 year-old son we were able to carry an old refrigerator from the kitchen, out to the back patio and around the house to the garage. Probably a 200-foot carry, with really no stress. The physics of being able to distribute the weight is pretty cool, and as long as there are two of you, a dolly is really unnecessary.

It helps if both movers are about the same height though. It was difficult for the 6' guy to handle with the 6'8" guy helping cause all of the weight, on every step or hill, was put onto the shorter carrier. Other than that they were awesome. Could have been a little longer but that may have only been an issue due to tall worker.

It is important to watch the video so you know how to use them to the best advantage. They work great on bulky items and things that are hard to get a good grip on, such as foam mattresses. There may be a few occasions where you wish they were a bit longer. Highly recommend, well worth the modest price.

I had a really heavy Sony TV that I need to get rid of, didn't work very well with the big body set. Ended up slowly easing it down one stair step at a time and using a hand truck to roll it away. Maybe it will work with other projects better..

They do not reach forearms without bending your back too much. One person is 6' and one is 5' 10". I see they sell extensions but they would need to be twice as long.
