Customer Questions & Answers

Will these work with concrete tubes?

I'm building a cabin on 8 ft pilings and want to know if these screw jacks are sturdy enough to be used if set in concrete on top of a piling. (Using 10" or 12" tubes for concrete) I want to be able to make adjustments in case there is settling. I would have at least 16 pilings to support a 20' X20' cabin. If this is feasible, can I purchase separate face plates for each screw jack to attach bottom section with concrete screws or plant into cement? If this is NOT a good use for a screw jack, what do you suggest.
Asked by: Ron
I would use them, but keeping them close to the pilings and keeping them well greased. Also I would use them on all pilings.

What are the specifications of the scaffle screw jacks with baseplates

Asked by: Biker
I bought a set of these for a Baker Scaffold (1.5" outside square legs). They fit inside the legs without a problem. You do need to use a 1 3/8 inch (I.D.) washer between the spinner and the leg for use with square legs. The actual size of the screws are: 24 inch tall (note: indent at 6 inch from top to insure at least 6 inches remains in scaffle leg), Screw outer dia. ~1.34 inch in dia., base plate ~ 0.22 inch thick, ~5 3/8 inch square. Spinner overall length ~ 9 inches Depth of Spinner hub ~1 3/16 inches Outer dia. of Spinner hub at point of contact with scaffold ~2.2 inches

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good accessory for scaffold I bought these to go with my scaffold, I work on an uneven ground. These made the scaffold level and stable. They did however require some finesse to fit in the scaffold. 2 of them slid right in and the other 2 required a hammer to go in the bottom. Minor problem. If you work on an uneven area, I highly recommend these. They are stout and with a wider foot, it kept the scaffold steady.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A must have for uneven surfaces Installed in scaffolding, spun handle to proper height and leveled the setup. Couldn't be easier. They don't pin into the scaffold because then you couldn't adjust them so they will fall out if you lift the scaffold too high to move it, but when you disassemble you just lift and they are out. Good value and front door delivery.
