Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by jamespdx Great little gun for the money - much better than any other stapler I've used
I would give this an excellent score except for a couple of things - first, the ad says that it has a rapid fire feature (why I bought it) and it does not. Second, you cannot load it with as many staples as it can hold - if you do it will jam. It can take just one row of staples from the box (still quite a few), but it will hold another half row. I loaded it full and it jammed, and when it jams it is a pain to clear - instead of just flipping a spring loaded wire like on my other gun - you have to TAKE IT APART. Otherwise, once I quit loading it full, it works GREAT . . . it's super light, and will fire off staples at a rate almost as though it had a rapid fire feature, I really like it! One more thing, it has no depth adjustment. This isn't a problem for me, and I suppose I could adjust the air pressure if it were . . . it does what I need it to do and it does it way better than any stapler I've used in the past!!

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Juan Safety device causes problems for stapling in recessed areas
I ordered this stapler because of the good reviews and to staple new felt on my pool table. It gets a low rating from me because the safety device basically makes the nose of the stapler much bigger and the safety device doesn’t allow you to put the stapler’s nose in a recessed area.
I called the 800 number on the instructions and asked if I could somehow take the safety device off and they said no, “it will not fire without the safety device attached to the trigger mechanism as manufacture.”
If I could have removed the safety device so it was not constantly in the way it would have worked fine since it almost always shot a staple with few miss fires and does drive the staple in flush to a hard wood.
It may work fine on other projects that don't not require putting staples in a recessed area.
If your pool table slate is flush with the underlying wood frame then you will have no problems stapling the cloth or felt to the frame. On my table, the slate overhangs the wood frame by 1/8” to 1/4” and trying to get the safety device fully depressed so one can staple the cloth to the wood frame is a problem. Also, trying to get the nose of the stapler where it needs to be with the safety device mounted above the stapler’s nose is a problem.
Also, almost all pool table rails have a recessed area on the bottom of the 6 rails for the cloth or felt to fit into, the cloth must be stapled in the recess area and then the excess cloth cut off so the bottom of the wooded rail sits flush on top of the slate bed and doesn’t rock around on the cloth. Again, the safety device doesn’t allow easy placement of the stapler in the recessed area.
If you take your time and either hold the stapler upside down or however you may need to hold it to depress the safety device and get the nose of the stapler where you need it before pulling the trigger you can eventually make it work somewhat. Just be prepared to pull some staples that are not where you wanted them since the safety device basically makes the nose of the stapler much bigger.
This was not a good stapler for recovering my pool table project.
This one is going back and I hope to buy one without a safety bumper or plunger.

When I first started using this stapler with 9/16 staples it worked great. But when I switched to 3/8 staples it would only shoot one staple and no more unless I took out the staples and reloaded them. I would have to repeat this process each time I wanted to shoot a staple.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by prowoodman AWESOME staple gun!!
I've been building cabinets and furniture for almost 15 years. I've been looking for a staple gun with a 3/8 crown for awhile now but the guns I found online were just too expensive. Leave it to Home Depot to bring home the win with a good quality gun for a awesome price!
This gun uses regular T-50 staples. It has plenty of driving power and will sink every staple into softwoods such as pine or spruce, where hand staplers sometimes leave the staple sticking up a bit or "un-sunk". The Freeman Fine Wire Stapler will even shoot staples into hardwoods like oak and maple. (I did notice on oak and maple, it sometimes curls up the edges of the staples, but they can easily be flattened out with a hammer) This gun is lightweight, well built, small and compact. Very nice in-hand feel with this gun also. Smooth magazine travel makes loading and unloading staples a breeze! Adjustable exhaust port keeps the air from blasting air in your face when shooting staples. I usually use a 1/4 crown stapler to shoot 1/4 inch plywood on my cabinet backs, but now I will be using this gun instead! Its perfect for stapling wood to wood, screen to wood or even fabric to wood. Also great for upholstery work!
Super fast shipping too. I got it within 2 days from the HD website.
I'm 100% satisfied with this gun. I would recommend it to anyone. I look forward to using this gun on many projects in the future!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JimW Excellent Quality! Well Built!
I bought this to help me when I build bee hive frames and to staple the wooden strips down that hold the foundation (comb) in place. That's 10 frames per hive body and I did more than a hundred frames with 3 staples each. Not a single misfire. This stapler shoots standard T50 staples from 3/8" to 9/16" and it does a great job. It's well built and it feels like quality. I have nothing negative to say about it.

I purchased this stapler to reupholster the seat on one of my ATV's. I had tried both a manual and electric stapler that I already owned, but was unable to reach down into the recessed area I needed to get to. I found this online and could tell by the pictures the nose of the stapler should reach like I needed. It worked like a charm! I have only used it for this one project so far, but I think it will be my first choice now for any staple project needs in the future.
