Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This product is easy to use and performs well. I am extremely pleased with the performance of my new Affinity HE front load washer. I have never used a front load machine before but the Affinity's controls and cycles were so intuitive and easy to use that I became an instant fan. It's compact size and design fitted perfectly in my small wash closet and the stylish design looks great. The Affinity Front Load Washer is quiet and efficient...a great value at an affordable price. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Design flaws We really wanted to like this washer, but it has 2 big problems. 1. It has a design flaw that means any small articles of clothing (like kids's socks) get caught in the front of the washer and don't get washer or spun dry - they just come out wet and dirty. 2. The hot wash isn't hot.  It just keeps trying to pull in more hot water and obviously doesn't have any kind of thermostat. It's pretty frustrating when you want to do a hot wash to sanitize things. I wouldn't buy this washer again, and wouldn't recommend it. July 17, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by after buying 2 used units I needed a break We bought this washer & matching dryer for a rental unit. Renters can be very hard on appliances, We bought a used top loader(stacked set) that lasted 3 months, then bought a used front loader set that lasted less then 45 days! We needed something with a warranty. So far this set is good. We live above the rental unit and it's not as loud as either previous set, the renter says she loves it, the clothes are almost dry when they come out of the wash, the spin is very quiet. I am hoping for water savings as we pay the utilities and the water bill was getting out of control! August 24, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Don't buy! Customer service disaster. DO NOT BUY! Worked as designed for 6 months, then required 3 repairs in the last 2 months. Each took hours on the phone and days off of work to coordinate repair service, and weeks after diagnosis waiting for parts. Customer service is a total disaster. Things break, but based on their response I will never buy from Frigidaire again for the rest of my life. Do yourself a favor and Google Frigidaire complaints, and then buy another brand. They constantly update the model number on this washer each year, but it is essentially the same thing every one of them has tons of negative reviews. February 7, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Consumer Reports Best Buy I purchased this machine because CR rated it as a "best buy" meaning that all things considered, (cost, features, reliability, durability) it's a good pick. It's not as feature rich as other machines but most people don't use those sophisticated wash cycles found on costly machines. I built my own pedestal that is tall enough for a laundry basket to slide under out of 3/4 inch plywood and 2x6 wood. I found a do it yourself video on U-tube so I built it myself. Installation was easy but the technician left without showing me how to open the door. There is no door handle visible, as you face the machine it is on the inside right lip of the door. I also purchased the braided stainless steel hoses for better performance. Keep the door open between loads to prevent mildew in the drum. I will repost after I've had the machine for six months,, then again at 1 year. I recommend you purchase the warranty, this is good planning for ANY machine these days as one repair pays for the cost of the plan. Home Depot has an excellent warranty program and their service so far has been good. February 12, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible I bought this machine after doing a lot of research. I was especially excited about being able to wash blankets and the high-efficiency. I have had this washer for 4 years and I'm so grateful bought the extended warranty. I had to have it serviced 3 times. The water now leaks out of the door because the rubber has cracked and is moldy. I cleaned the washer regularly and followed the manual. My warranty just ran out and it is going to be $350. to fix because the parts are so expensive. I'm going back to a top loader. November 6, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Washer/dryer The products work wonderfully. However, the washer opens to the left and dryer to the right which is a major problem given they stack and there are no extra inches. I was not told that the new dryer vent has a larger diameter than the old one so the machines stick out an inch. So, another problem! September 18, 2012
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do not buy an Affinity! I have an affinity washer, I paid a premium price for what I thought would be a long lasting quality product. After only 2 years of service the main control board failed - an expensive replacement. After searching the web I have discovered this is a common problem with the Affinity. Many customers with as little as a year of service are reporting this problem. My previous washer was a Kenmore, It was 14 years old when I replaced it with this one and I wish I had just kept it. To add insult to injury I just replaced my Frigidare dishwasher that stopped working, granted it was a whopping 4 years old... Quality is possible, just not with Frigidaire I guess! Frigidaire customer service was less than helpful. Be aware that Electrolux is the same as Frigidaire. November 12, 2012
