Answer:
The pedestal can be very handy and elevates the machine so that you aren't bending as much to load it. However, if you have height limitations or plan to install the machine under shelves or stack it, then the pedestal can be eliminated.

No. The washer will work just fine without a pedestal but it's a lot of bending and stooping without them. If you know a handy man or woman, ask them to build your own. No. The washer will work just fine without a pedestal but it's a lot of bending and stooping without them. If you know a handy man or woman, ask them to build your own. I used 3/4 inch plywood and 2x6 wood and built it tall enough to slide a laundry basket under. Home Depot cuts the plywood to your dimensions. I built mine in an hour in my garage while I was waiting for the delivery truck to arrive. I found a helpful video on Youtube that showed the process of building your own. To answer your question........no, you don't need the pedestals but it will save your back a lot of bending if you raise the machine about 15 inches or so. Some people recommend putting a rubber mat under the machine on the floor to dampen the vibration of the machine. Those pedestals are overpriced in my opinion and they are not even big enough to store a bottle of detergent. My homemade pedestal doesn't have a drawer but it's tall enough to slide a laundry basket under so it's VERY handy and super sturdy and cost about $42 in materials to build. I bought the wood at Home Depot and had them cut the plywood and the 2x6's for me so all I had to do at home was nail it together and paint it. I have posted a photograph of the pedestal I built. Note the height of the washer compared to the standard height dryer (not on a pedestal) next to it. Think about how often we would need to bend over to retrieve clothes. Note also that the pedestal I built is tall enough for a laundry basket to slide underneath so it makes efficient use of the space. The pedestals that are sold as an option with the machines are made from sheet metal and they are not tall enough to store even a standard size bottle of soap so they are not really useful to me. Plus, you can save $200 if you build your own and have Home Depot cut the wood for you. Read Less

Answer:
If your washer will not start please ensure that the power plug fits tightly in wall outlet. You may also reset circuit breaker or replace fuse capacity. Ensure that water supply faucets are turned on. Please also verify that the door on washer is tightly closed. It is recommend that if you see the assistance of a Service Specialist to assist in the proper diagnosis of your unit.
Thank you,

Hello Kim,
Thank you for your inquiry! An exact verification of the length of a cycle cannot be made as these cycle times vary due to many factors such as the size of load and options or cycle selected. We hope this information is of assistance.
