Product Overview

FrogTape is the only tape treated with PaintBlock technology, a super-absorbent polymer which reacts with latex paint and instantly gels to form a micro-barrier that seals the edges of the tape, preventing paint bleed. The result is very sharp paint lines. Multi-Surface FrogTape is great for a wide variety of surfaces.

0.94 in. x 60 yds. Multi-Surface Tape is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 970.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money We decided to splurg on this tape for a project that required sharp, clean lines and were incredibly disappointed. More areas bled through than didn't. Wish we had just bought regular painters tape instead of wasting our money on this scam of a product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Always The Best I use this tape to mask off parts for guns that are being coated for refinishing. I always have sharp lines when removing the tape.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product definately gives you a straighter line. I have many joining dif. paint color lines on rounded corners in my house so a straight line is imperative in my detail eyes and for a professional look. There is nothing worse than a line where two colors join and one has leaked under your tape line (no matter how hard you try to press it down) and your left with an ugly looking line...just messy! The only way to accomplish a clean no leak line is with Frog Tape...thanks for developing this product! Make sure to read the tip on how to use the tape on a textured wall, even a light texture can be a problem if you don't follow the tip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent for Painting We recently tiled a back-splash in our kitchen and also painted. Frog Tape was excellent for covering both the counter tops to protect from grout droppings, and painting around the baseboards and molding. I would highly recommend it. It does exactly what it says it does, and is dependable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from No crisp lines at all This stuff is horrible. I used it several years ago when I painted my living room and literally had HOURS of repair work to do after I pulled off the tape. Did not make crisp lines at all. I called the FrogTape people, and they said it was my fault--didn't follow the directions. Yeah, whatever--the "directions" they specifically mentioned were not listed anywhere on the container. Since years had passed, I thought I'd give it another try since I was doing a job that required extremely straight, crisp lines with no raggedy edges. My daughter drew a cityscape on our bathroom wall, so I used the frogtape around the edge before I painted it. Out of the entire bathroom wall, there was only one 3" line that was crisp. The rest looks AWFUL. No idea how I'm going to fix this. Probably have to paint over the whole thing. Argh. NEVER USING THIS PRODUCT AGAIN, AND WOULD DEFINITELY NOT NOT NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Avoid Frog Tape The problem I had was it was too sticky, and it was pulling paint off surfaces that I was trying to mask. It may work in other situations, but I think it's over-hyped, and no better than other painter's masking tape.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from be careful!!! Read the instructions! Who would think you would need to do that for tape. The adhesive on this is VERY strong. I was lazy after painting the room and left the tape on the wall overnight. I have done this in the past with blue tape and would lightly run a box knife at the edge to break the overlapping paint line. The problem was that the adhesive backing on the tape really hung onto the wall. I had drywall paper coming off! Ultimately it was my fault, but it goes to show you how strong the bond is and that it can get you clean lines if done correctly.
