I have to connect two pieces together under an area rug. How do I connect them?

Asked by: ccc
Not sure who at Future Foam provided the answer advising duct tape or packaging tape be used, but per Future Foam's own literature regarding installation guidelines for moisture barrier padding, the following is recommended "Secure seams with premium grade vinyl-coated cloth cushion tape." Speaking from experience, duct tape results in a crinkling sound when the seam is walked on.

i need 684 sf or 76 yrds of many rolls do i need to buy?

capet memory foam
Asked by: drew
One square yard is 3ft x 3ft x 3 ft; or 27 sq ft. This roll contains 270 sq ft, or 10 sq yards. Your 684 IS NOT 76sq yards of carpet, it is only 25.3 sq yards of carpet, so you would need 3 rolls (3 x 10 = 30)

?? Previous Reviews state Moisture Barrier is ?NOISY?

I read a review from another Website where a buyer stated the following: "A big negative about the pad is the moisture barrier because it is noisy. It sounds like you are stepping on muffled plastic. Not a big deal during the day but when family members are up late a night their footsteps are heard throughout the hallway. I would not purchase this product again based on that annoyance" Please explain if the Mositure barrier causes noise as described int he Review above? The product seems great; although, this remark( noise) is a concern of mine!
Asked by: Mike
FYI, if you experience noise, make sure it is installed per manufacturer guidelines, which per Future Foam's literature specifies "Secure seams with premium grade vinyl-coated cloth cushion tape." Our product was installed using duct tape instead, and made a crinkling sound whenever walked on. It has since been reinstalled using the specified tape and there is no detectable sound.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This Padding Has Issues! After spending thousands of dollars on quality carpet and supposedly quality padding, I was horrified to be walking across the carpet with no shoes on and have what felt like a rock jab in to my heel and drop me to my knees. We further investigated and discovered many, many, many hard spots under the carpet. When we called to compain, the issue of hard lumps within the padding was mentioned. In addition, when the installers came back out, they seemed to know that it was the padding and hard material issues. After pulling back the carpet, the installers cut out many hard lumps of foam to include the one very large lump. The installers told me that when they install the pad, they try to catch the hard spots and cut them out now because they are having serious issues with complaints of lumps under the carpet. I personally can't imagine these hard lumps being good for your carpet over time and have serious concerns with this padding. We are currently fighting to have it replaced and will not buy this for our next carpet upgrade.

Really like my new carpet and the install team did a great job but this carpet padding is disappointing - doesn't feel like there is much padding at all under the carpet and there are a lot of hard lumps. Just not happy with this padding.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Feels great We got this installed in the basement and basement stairs. It feels just right, not too hard, not too soft. From the pads that Home Depot will install, this pad was the only one to pick that is listed as being breathable. I think this is important so moisture won't get trapped under the pad in a basement. All pad at home depot seems overpriced to pay for the low installation cost they charge. But I believe that the total price for the pad, carpet and install combined is very competitive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Second Time Around, and Any Time in the Future This is the second time we have used this product. We were extremely pleased with the previous use, and will always come back to this product. The pad is durable, it lasts, and the price is right!
