Customer Questions & Answers

Is the HDX Water Filter a suitable replacement for the MWF filter?

$20 less expensive.
Asked by: BillC
Hello Bill, This is Joyce from GE Appliances. The filter in the link (MWFP) is the replacement for the MWF filter. (HDX is not a valid number). The MWFPHD3PK is signifying this filter pack is from Home Depot. Thanks so much for checking with us. Have a good day!

always getting a leak around the filter. what can fix this ?

Asked by: rcarl
before you change out the filter make sure you turn off the water at the back of the fridge, this will help in getting it lined up correctly and tightened properly. I had the same problem initially thinking I could do it quickly, but the slight added pressure of the water simply draining into the filter caused it to not line up correctly.
