Rated 5 out of 5 by Love My New Dishwasher! We've had the new dishwasher for little over a month now. Washed numerous loads of dishes. Everything comes out clean. The only exception is maybe when some spoons get stuck together, but other than that, it's great. Love the stainless steel interior. Feel like it is durable enough to last for a very long time. I'm used to not 'washing' the dishes before putting into the dishwasher, so I'm loving the 'autosense' feature that tells just how dirty the dishes are and adjusts the wash automatically. I love the 3 washer arms, bottom, middle, and top, so even if I put something on the bottom rack upside down, like bowls or cups, they come out clean! Love, Love, Love the new Slate color. Plan on converting all my other black appliances to Slate. Great color and finish. Does not show finger prints like stainless. Easy to clean. Overall - I am Very Pleased! August 5, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Leaked & Ruined My Floor This was installed a month ago. Because insulation behind the kickplate contained it, a constant small leak went undetected until I noticed that the hardwood floor in front of the unit was cupping. Removing the kickplate revealed the entire floor on the underside of the unit was standing in water and a small drip was eminating from a coupling on the motor. I called GE and they will send someone out in 8 days. Eight days! This is my first experience with GE Service and their products. I should have bought a Kitchenaid. August 28, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good dishwasher, but not up to par with Bosch I am recently divorced and installed a new Bosch dishwasher in my last home, then a GE dishwasher in the new one. The GE cleans well, is quiet, and does everything well that you expect a dishwasher to do. I bought it because I wanted an all slate-colored set which Bosch does not offer. The GE does not look nearly as well engineered as the Bosch, it required me to stuff insulation around the bottom, and when finished, there is a wide band of rubber along the sides that "hides" the dishwasher workings....think this looks odd. I love the slate color...I call it the new stainless. May 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nice Dishwasher When Properly Installed Very nice appearance and features on this dishwasher. The efficiency settings are better for fairly clean items but the steam setting with boost or sanitize are good enough to get most stuck on items off of dishes and pans, just be careful you have no plastic cups or other plastic items in the machine on the higher settings. I noticed some reviews mentioning that the door wouldn't close evenly and/or there may be a leak at on the bottom of one side of the door. After less than a month I noticed this happening also and since I did the installation myself I double checked to make sure the machine was leveled and thought that one of the seals might have gone bad. Well what actually happened was one end of the door got pulled up and off the hinge rest. It was hard to tell that unless you look at the side that seems to close first. In my case the left side shut after the right side. After taking a couple hours to figure this out I opened the door about 1/3 to 1/2 way open and pulled on the side where the hinge was actually underneath the hinge rest until it looped around the curved rest and was set properly back into the hinge rest. Presto the door shut evenly again and no small puddle of water on the left side of the door. If I were GE I would put this into their problem solving section of the manual and in their support database. If you have the same symptoms double check the door hinges are not resting underneath the hinge rest. Overall we are happy with the machine but I did notice when installing the leveling feet seemed a bit lightweight and somewhat hard to thread into the machine frame, the only con I noticed during the installation. Rated 1 out of 5 by Drain Problems Great looking and worked great for two weeks. Now it will not drain. No clogs. Appears drain pump has gone out. Ironic that it happened the same day I noticed the email to review the purchase. It would have been a 5star review yesterday. Hope it's an easy fix. November 16, 2014
