Answer:
Walmart sales a Coleman propane hose with adaptor. 5 foot hose. This fit the heater and 20 pound tank. No other attachments needed. Works wonderfully. In camping supplies $19.

#going to the heater#. The Not Recommended, tricky part is you have to turn it on/off by the regulator
and tank. You need to slightly turn your fuel on to light it without getting the atmosphere full of fumes
before it lights. #I got the "hang of it" after the 1st couple start-ups.) BUT we are still open for better
ways! Again, This will not pass NO Safety Code whatsoever!

I have had this model for years and use a 20# tank. All that is required is an adapter hose. (I bought a 4' hose so that I could run it through the base and the hole in the center of my patio table) The tank sits on the ground under the table. This works beautifully.

After several of good service, it's time to replace the heater. To answer your question, go to your local Home Depot and get the hose for gas grills and various propane appliances. This fits right in the bottom of the heater instead of the small green tanks. Also get a 20 lb. tank, (also sold there), and run the hose up through the umbrella hole in the center of your patio table. This lasts many times longer that the green cylinders and also does not freeze up like they do. By the way, propane tanks have left hand threads. Hope this helps. Read Less

As long as there is good air ventilation and you meet the spacing requirements given by the manufacturer, I think you should be OK.
Be sure to follow the safe handling instructions given to you in the Owner’s Manual.

11,000 BTU Powder Coated Bronze Tabletop Propane Patio Heater is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 162.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outdoor heater I love the looks and it was simple to put together. It puts out an ok amount of heat so I plan on getting a second one for our outdoor table. The only complaint I have is that the tanks run out fast. I have natural gas and can run a line up under my deck through floor and up through table. Is there a conversion to natural gas?

When I returned it to Home Depot they told me that a lot of them had been returned. I'm not sure why Home Depot would continue to sell a product with such a high defective rate? I'm not big on buying online, but it looks like I don't have any other options.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk I purchased this heater to place on a table top on the patio and it started out fine. Decent heat for the little area we sit, but in less than 30 minutes the tank was empty. Went though four cans an less than two hours. I am returning it tomarow as it is far from economical.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gardensun Good for my wife and I when it's just us having a cocktail in the evening on the deck. Good for 45-50° or so with a light jacket. Any colder or more people I'd recommend the larger unit. Very good quality and easy to put together and use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We love this heater The small bottles did burn fast. So we bought a extender hose so we can now hook the heater up to a big tank. So far so good. We haven't used it for camping yet. But I think it will work just as well out in the open.
