Customer Questions & Answers

What is the lifetime (operating hour) of Generac 100,000-Watt Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator of Model # QT10068ANAC?

Asked by: Anonymous
With proper maintenance, you can expect years of reliable service, but based on all of the different environmental and operational factors involved, we are unable to put an exact time frame on life expectancy of the generator. When operating normally and performing the scheduled 12 minute weekly test, the generator will gain 10.4 hours of run time each year for exercise time alone. If the generator performs its 12 minute weekly test each week as programmed, it will run 52 hours of exercise time over the course of 5 years. Other operation during an outage would increase the run time on the engine.
