CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Digital Moisture Meter Meter works well providing moisture content of structure behind siding (stucco, aluminum, vinyl). November 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Every woodburner should have one After kindling and kitchen matches, everyone heating with wood should use the Moisture Meter to segregate firewood with readings of 20% or higher for more drying time. Knowing which logs are under 10% moisture content lets the fire start better and burn hotter - then the 10-15% wood can be added. There is nothing worse than trying to start and get heat out of punk wood. My one product suggestion is to make it with more of the yellow color for improved visibility - and make the pin cover yellow. I take mine into the woods and don't always keep it in my pocket.l October 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Simple but functional Last year we felled our mulberry tree. I kept the thicker parts for later use because mulberry wood has a nice yellowish color. To see if the wood was dry enough to use I needed a moisture meter. I checked various models and based on the reviews and price, Out of the box I used it on all sorts of wood, just for testing. I have no way to check the accuracy of the readings but I think the scale is quite right. It went from 8% for my workbench to 45% for wood I brought in from outside. All in all I'm satisfied with the performance. The only negative aspect is the two pinholes from the needles but that I knew already before I bought it. So I use a spot that has to be worked on. Rated 3 out of 5 by Overpriced You can find this same product 30 percent lower on am a zon. Perhaps if Home Depot would stock this in the store, it would be worth paying more but you've got to wait for shipping either way. December 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Big help with firewood We bought firewood that we couldnt burn efficiently. We had a woodstove repair guy in to look at the stove. He couldnt find anything wrong with it. We then bought this and it helps soooooo much in determining whether the wood is dry enough to burn or not. Our wood wasnt seasoned enough to burn. I just wish it would pick up moisture deeper in the wood (if it did that I would have given it 5 stars). March 25, 2014
