I own one of these? Need new wheel

I own one of these as well as the 3/4" version ... My 1/2" needs a replacement wheel ... The part is atcw ... That seems to be the same for both units ... This is a really great little tool ... Can't seem to find replacement wheels for it though ... I found the company web-site and they advertise 12-packs but guessing that is not for the public ... I paid over $50 for the two and can't seem to find the replacement wheels for these units ... I purchased a "brass-craft" pipe cutter at one point from Home Depot and was not able to get wheel for that either ... Are these supposed to be disposable ... I would think for the price they shouldn't be

1/2 in. O.D. Pipe Tubing Cutter is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing product I remember using pipe cutters that have the adjustment screw and they were difficult. This is so much better and more compact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMO: Try it I read the reviews before purchase. Some made me second guess buying this item. My job is small - maybe 30 cuts. I was surprised how the cut held the line through the copper piping. I base this decision on not only the cut it made....but....but also on the old pipe cutter [manufacture not important] where I adjusted the tension to make the cut. Folks...this is a good unit. Well worth the cash.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Adequate Beneficial in tight spaces. Hinged design may be useful depending on circumstances to snap onto pipe. Occasionally walks down the pipe due to the hinged design snapping closed slightly off alignment between the rollers and cutting wheel. Overall much better than screw feed mini tube cutters. The Quick Cut similar tool made by Superior Tool is unhinged, about half the price, replacement cutter wheels are easier to install, and is made in the USA. Auto Cut is solidly made in the UK. Hopefully HD will stock these someday.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Priceless when your in a jam I had both the 3/4 and 1/2 inch versions of this tool. I used these handy cutters as first line tools back when I did rough ins for new-construction. These cutters free up the hands when cutting copper pipe in a tight space. The spring loaded pressure that is built into the tool, pushes the cutting wheel against the pipe, so there is no hand tightening required. Rigid was my favorite first line choice in copper pipe cutters until these came out many years back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'll rate it a 5 Needed to make a couple really tight cuts and this tool made it pretty easy -- easier than the small tube cutters that you have to adjust manually. This tool is for 1/2" pipe only and it takes a little leverage to close it over the pipe. Takes about three twists and you're through. Value? Expensive for what it is, but still worth it -- saved me some hassle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Pipe Cutter Been using the 1/2" and 3/4" Autocuts for about two years. Am a full-time handyman and do a lot of plumbing. Have made many many cuts, mostly with the 1/2" cutter. Have never had either of them walk up or down the pipe. Almost never use my Ridgid cutters anymore. Do think that the 1/2" wheel is starting to get dull. Will probably by the same unit again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Save your money I clamped the tube cutter onto copper tube as instructed then started to rotate cutter around tubing. Instread of cutting the tubing all it did was score the tube and move up and down the tube. I had to dig out the old hack saw and file to cut the copper, then cleaned up the copper with emory cloth. At $17.00 plus, this was a total waste of time. Back to the store with this!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cut edge is slightly raised. Unlike a regular cutter, which creates a slightly crimped cut edge that makes it easier to insert pipe into fitting, this cutter creates a cut edge that's slightly raised, and impossible to fit into fitting. If only there's a way to ream the outside edge, but you shouldn't have to anyway.
