Answer:
Strange. I actually was needing to purchase a remote which is a Wayne Dalton Pro Drive Model 3222C-V and they indicated the following: Garage Door Openers - Wayne Dalton
www.wayne-dalton.com › Pages › garag...Wayne Dalton does not sell garage door openers. We recommend Genie garage door openers. So I'm really confused what opener is compatible as they referred to Genie. Any suggestions?

Answer:
I am pretty sure it will because it did not affect the two openers that I have in my other two vehicles. They are both integrated into the vehicles.

Answer:
Hi Tmack,
The old remote will still be active, programing a new remote will not effect the old one.
The only way to assure the old remote is deactivated is to replace the receiver on your opener.
You can purchase a new receiver and remote from the Home Depot.

I'm pretty sure it will work with Chamberlain. (Check with Genie Customer Care 1-800-354-3643 for further assistance.) There is also a YouTube video with VERY EASY STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS at http://youtu.be/ZwXEKlp6-RU
Plus, easy to follow TROUBLESHOOTING tips & "HOW TO" instructions to change the code if you want. (I'd recommend changing the code since you "lost" one remote).

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 66 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! I moved into a home this year with a Genie system from 1996 and no remote. Ordered this remote from Home Depot online and picked up from Customer Service desk. I went by the instructions in the box, but since my system was so old I ended up setting up new codes over the phone with Genie, which worked perfectly. Took about 20 minutes total and I love driving into the garage. Sure beats having to buy & install a new system. October 18, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by remote for opener It works flawlessly and from a good distance away from house. It was easy to program. A push of a button easy. Nice and large remote. October 25, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to program Easier than I could imagine to program only took 2 min September 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works with1990's Genie screw drive opener I purchased this opener in store with the help of online reviews and online user guide. By following the easy instructions, it works on our Genie garage door opener that was installed when our house was built in 1990/91 (12 dip switches). We are very pleased with the savings vs. having to buy and install a new opener just because the remote wore out. August 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by New Genie remote works on 20 year-old Genie door opener. Bought a house w/Genie door opener; but, there were no remotes. It was made in 1996; and, this remote, which will work on models from 1995 onward, was able to be programmed to operate it from the car within a couple of minutes. Works fine. July 26, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by genie garage opener I had difficulty programming the remote. However, when I had the door serviced, the technician programmed the remote quickly. June 2, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works Great I have an old Genie Blue Max garage door opener(s) made who knows when..probably 1994ish. The Chambelain remote didn't work so I called Genie customer care and they said this one would work...it does. They referenced a GM3T and this is it. Had both doors working in about 10-15- minutes. Had to use the DIB codes as there is no learning sensor on my doors. April 13, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great remote I use this remote for a new opener and a much older opener. It was very easy to program for both. May 10, 2016
