Hi Jo, There is really no trick -- you just line up the open end of the clip with the slots on both sides of the bottom threads of the spout hookup and push it on so it locks the o-ring side of the split tee in place. You do have to push the tee all the way onto the threads before installing the clip.
What I found tricky was that I had to angle the tee relative to the spout so that there wouldn't be any kinks in the braided stainless steel hoses that attach from the tee to the individual hot and cold water valves. When viewed from below the deck the hoses form something like a letter "S" where the tee is the crossbar of the "S" curve. If that doesn't explain it for you, when I get the tile installed so I can finally install the tub faucet, I'll post a picture of my installation. My tile is supposed to be delivered tomorrow and hopefully it won't be all broken like the last batch they tried to deliver. Read Less

What is the average or max flow rate? Would it be good to fill a tub quickly?

I'm looking for a faucet for a 111 gallon whirlpool tub, and need a faucet that will fill it quickly. I have seen many roman tub faucets listed as 19 gallons per minute average (varies based on water pressure). This faucet lists a minimum flow rate but no average or max.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the only information we have is what is available on the Specification sheet which just shows the minimum flow rate.

The flow rate is 2.4 gallons per minute. This will fill a tub in fair time.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. This trim will not fit on the Moen Rough in but this kit does include both the trim and the Rough In parts needed for a complete installation.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Wow Fills my big garden tub fast. Easy install and looks amazing June 7, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Very Attractive and Economical This was the second Glacier Bay faucet we bought for our new tub installation. The first one. an Edgewood bath faucet, turned out to be too short to reach the tub when installed on the deck. We didn't know we needed a Roman tub faucet. This one fit the bill nicely and is pretty easy to install. (I installed it temporarily on the plywood sub-deck to make sure it worked, then removed it to install the cement board and ceramic tile tub surround.) I was impressed that the lines supplied to connect the hot and cold water valves to the spout are braided stainless steel. However, the stiffness of these lines makes hookup more difficult, especially if you have limited space under the tub deck. They need to be routed so that you don't kink the lines. I solved part of this problem by placing the valves 12 inches apart instead of the usual 8 inches. I would love to include a picture of my final installation but we are still waiting for the tile we ordered from HD two weeks ago. One complaint I have is that the installation instructions say you need holes in the deck of 1-3/8 inches and 1-1/8 inches, neither of which is a common hole saw size. The fact is, the valve bodies will fit through a standard 1-1/4 inch hole and the spout will fit through a 1 inch hole. I found this out after I had already ordered diamond hole saws in the odd sizes specified to drill the holes through the tile and cement board.. August 11, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Nothing but frustration Bought this faucet kit for a bathroom remodel project last December. Was installed by a plumber, and within 2 weeks the faucet started dripping hot water, which soon turned into a steady stream. Purchased a replacement cartridge and had same plumber install. Before he finished writing up his $95 invoice, the faucet started leaking again. I called the Glacier Bay (i.e., Home Depot) customer service department, and they shipped us several more replacement cartridges, all of which failed. I went back to HD, and the plumbing department manager removed the hot water cartridge from the display model and gave it to me. It worked for about a month, then deja vu all over again. We finally called in a different plumber, who installed a better known name brand, lifetime-warranted kit at a cost of $600 including labor. So 5 months and $700 later we have a working faucet. To HD's credit, they refunded the entire original cost of the Glacier Bay product to us, in addition to having earlier issued us a $40 HD card when they learned of all our issues. This, despite the plumber having tossed all the original packaging in the trash in December. Odds are you will be very sorry if you buy this product!!! Based on other reviews, ours is not an isolated incident. May 29, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor product Purchased this faucet, it looked great. Easy to install but the valves would not allow water to flow. Called the company, they were polite but really useless. The company advised me to return the product. The problem is, Home Depot is about 25 mile away. I couldn't take the chance the next faucet would also be bad and have to make another trip. The selection at my Home Depot store for tub faucets was really slim. I ended up purchasing another faucet at competitors store. They had a better selection on hand. Too bad because I really prefer Home Depot. Don't waist your time or money with this faucet July 2, 2013
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Living Nightmare after buying this product I bought this product (Builders 2-Handle Deck-Mount Roman Tub Faucet in Brushed Nickel) about 2 months ago. Had it installed by a plumber. It worked for 2 days and then cold water faucet started leaking. Went back to home depot, returned the defective one and bought a new one. I had it installed again and the same problem surfaced again. I then called Glacier bay and they sent me the cartridge. I replaced the cartridge but the problem still did not go away. It has been 2 months and I have not able to use my roman tub. I am not sure if Home Deport will take back the faucet since I have thrown away the box. More than likely, I will have to buy faucet of another brand. If I call Glacier bay, they would send me another cartridge. It has been really frustrating. I would never buy another Glacier Bay product. August 28, 2014

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Basic, Not too stylish This is just an average faucet, not too stylish, but it was inexpensive. Builder had a tough time installing it and adjusting the handles. Hasn't leaked so far. Awesome water flow, though. Would recommend if you don't want to spend much and have not much style to look at. January 27, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love it! I have had this faucet for more than two years. I have had no problems with it, it still looks nice, my step-dad installed it and had little trouble (he is not a plumber). I like it so much I am looking for the sink and shower faucets that match! January 20, 2013
