For the cost, it's worth a try. I wiped down my entire house so I'm not sure if you can just pour and the rust will come off. The directions on the back do state that all you have to do is apply and leave alone for 20 minutes and then rinse. 128 Oz. is a lot so when you do start, spray the coil generously.

Answer:
I'm afraid not. The Rust Stain Remover is an acid product; it will lead to more corrosion if applied to metal surfaces. It's designed for removing rust stains from vinyl siding and sidewalks. You might check with an automotive retailer. There are rust and corrosion products in the auto industry.

Then cover your mouth and eyes with a mask and good pair of glasses because the fumes are rather strong. Then just spray and the rust stains literally disappear on contact. Sometimes it may take another application especially if the stains have been there for a long time. An extra idea that worked for me was to do this in the latter afternoon when the sun isn't so intense causing the rust off spray to evaporate too quickly. IT WORKS!!! Hope this great product helps. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Much better than CLR Had rust stains on the side of mom's house from sprinklers on well. CLR full strength didn't hardly do anything. Put Goof Off in sprayer, sprayed full strength and it melted right off! Rinsed off wall and now it's good as new! My new favorite! July 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sidewalk cleaning This stuff is awesome! CLR can't hold a match to this product. No scrubbing at all. I used it in a bug sprayer and saturated the area well.10 mins later concrete looked brand new. July 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by works fast Use it to get rust stains from sprinkler water off of white vinyl fence. Used clr before without any results. This stuff worked in about 2 minutes. I sprayed it on about 40' of fence at the bottom and by the time i walked back the stains were gone. I used this stuff straight up in a pump sprayer and it worked great. June 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Perfect for Rust on Stucco I tried this product based on other user reviews and I'm glad I did. It works perfectly to remove over 5 years worth of rust buildup from the sides of my house and fence. No discoloration of paint other than making the treated parts cleaner than the rest. I also used this on my sidewalks and found that you should pressure wash the dirt away first and then apply for a perfect sidewalk. May 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Best product ever..!!!!!!! I couldn't believe how the rust just disappeared in front of my eyes. No scrubbing needed. I hope that THD always carry this product. February 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works great! Best, easiest, well water rust stain remover from painted aluminum siding. Spray on and watch it come off. Wish I could put up before and after pictures. January 1, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by A product that actually works I am on a well system which produces water containing clear water iron. While I was gone, one of my impact sprinklers broke and sprayed my house (for about an month.). My house is T-111 with low- sheen paint. I was going to repaint, as I have had very poor results with other rust remover products, but I decided to try this instead. I cleaned a 5' by 30' area in about 45 minutes with this. I applied it with a chip brush and roller, and waited about 5-10 minutes, and with no scrubbing, the stains were gone. Awesome! Paint looks like new, with no damage. I flushed the siding good with water to ensure all of the Remover was gone. Next, I applied it to my pump house with about 4 yr old rust stains. It took 3 apps of Remover and some work with a nylon scrub brush to get the stains, but I got them. Took about 30 minutes. I used about 1/2 gallon total of this product for my cleaning job, for both the house and pump house. You get a lot a bang for your buck with this product. Bottom line, the fresher the stains are, the better this product works. If you have old/ stubborn/ heavy stains, a little patience and elbow grease will be required. I give this product 5 stars. It saved me a good amount of time and money on not having to repaint. It's cheap and it works. I recommend you try it, especially on painted surfaces you are considering repainting. You may be as pleasantly surprised as I was. At a cost of around $10, you really don't have anything to lose. Goof-Off also has a money back guarantee on the product.. Just follow the directions. Check out the pix- the first two are closeups of my house, before and after (after pic was taken before final water rinse). The second 2 pix are of my pump house, before and after. July 9, 2014
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Iron Stain Remover! No effort at all! Removed heavy stains from our sidewalk and driveway and they look brand new! Excellent product! December 12, 2015
