Customer Questions & Answers

Are they cut resistant?

Asked by: BabesCapone
No. They are nice and grippy, but not made of a material to prevent cuts or punctures.

Do they keep your hands clean (eg, if you pick up mud, do your hands get muddy or just the glove exterior)?

Asked by: MenloMan
These are not like rubber gloves. They have a soft grippy material on the palm side, but a breathable material on top.

What is the non slip grip coating on these? Nitrile, silicone?

Asked by: Ren
Not sure, it's VERY grippy when new. It actually feels a bit tacky. If I had to guess I'd say it was some type of PVC, as Big Time Products (the MFG) states "Latex Free". The coating does NOT last forever, it will wear off. How long they last depends on how much use they get. I work 5 to 6 days a week. I build 35+ bicycles in a shift. These last about 3 weeks before I need a new pair.

Large Gorilla Grip Gloves is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 63.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Failed to grip. I used these gloves to hold an electric hedge trimmer. When I reached up to cut a tall hedge, the trimmer slipped out of my hand. The grip performance of these gloves was very disappointing considering the description of the product . The hang tags, product overview and specifications for these gloves are full of phrases about their grip: "Gorilla Grip. The grip that never slips. Maximum gripping gloves. Never slip technology provides a secure hold. Product Type: Outdoor & Work. Nonslip grip : Yes."

The grippy material helps my hold on to lumber and they feel good on my hands. The top breathable fabric makes them comfortable to wear for hours at a time. Also great in the car glove box to wear while gassing up or other dirty jobs around the house. Very happy with these gloves, I'm gonna buy a 10 pack next time!

That being said, THESE are GREAT GLOVES for assembly work! I build bicycles and BBQ's for a living and these are the ONLY gloves I can wear and still be able to manipulate the tiny fasteners that are commonplace on these things. The COMPLAINT is twofold: 1) They don't last forever. I work 5-6 days a week, 6 to 8 hours a day. Usually I can build 35+ bikes in a day. At that pace these gloves last about 2 to 3 weeks before the grip fades and they start to develop holes in the fingertips. 2) The MEDIUM sized gloves are extremely variable in sizing. Some fit perfect, but others I can't get my hand into. SO I get the Large size and deal with them being a bit long. I DO buy the 30 pack of these and have it shipped to store. The 30 pack price is less than $1.50 a pair! At that low price I think getting 3 weeks work out of them is a bargain. At the single price of nearly $5.00, not so good a deal. BEST GLOVES EVER for assembly work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Gloves for Obstacle Racing A little bit off of the beaten path here with this review, but I am a seasoned obstacle course racer, and these are the only gloves I would ever wear. Forget the Mad Grips, they are too bulky and don't breath. These fit like a second skin, ensuring dexterity and are extremely breathable. They stay sticky even with a film of mud on them. I wear them throughout the race to protect my hands, and only take them off for the spear throw and monkey bars. Superb!
