Customer Questions & Answers

Asked by: GG
The plug is flat wall hugger (see the other images).

What gauge is the wire?

I've been advised that what I need in a heavy duty extension cord is "14 gauge or higher." I don't see any "gauge" listed in the product overview or specifications. What is it?
Asked by: Corky
This would be rated 16/3 (first number means 16 gauge). A 14 gauge cord would be thicker (the higher the number, the thinner/light duty).

Can this extension cord be used outdoors?

Asked by: Missy
Although it is meant for indoor use, I would only use it outdoors if under a patio on the wall of the home, well inward under shelter (as I am doing with it). If you have bad weather often, I would mount it in a Cordmate channel for added protection.

Customer Reviews

6 ft. 16/3 Extension Cord is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from it's an extension cord So far it has extended the power supply so I can now be 6 feet away from the wall and plug things in. In fact, now I can plug 3 things in where I once could only plug in 1. Bonus features include the flatter plug design and the little slide-y things that partially cover the unused outlets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great extension code behind dresser I needed an extension cord because I had 4 things to plug in and only a 2 outlet socket. The socket was behind a dresser and I didn't want to have to pull it out from the wall. This extension cord worked well because it has a flattened plug.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flattened plug is nice Extension cords are extension cords, but having the flattened plug is definitely a bonus when using a receptacle that is behind a cabinet or bookshelf.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as needed. Really like the flattened plug design. Makes it easier to put the wire against the wall and hide it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Extension Cord This has made moving my furniture around so much easier. I no longer have to worry about the dresser or sofa sticking out away from the wall. I move with ease thanks to this new product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple quality extension cord This extension cord is simple, inexpensive, and appears to be of a nice quality. I especially like the flat plug and the flat cord which makes for simple sliding under the floor boards for a somewhat neater appearance. It works, simple as that.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Works ok This is a light duty cord and as long as you understand that, it performs well. The cord did what I wanted.
