I don't often eat mice. But, when I do, I prefer ones that aren't laced with a lethal toxin. That's why my butler and maid bought me this Havahart trap.
Durable. The butler tried other cheaper live traps from this very web site and they were destroyed by the mice.
Effective: Once inside, the mice found a way out of the cheaper traps. This one works almost every time!
Entertaining: Who doesn't like a good floor show?
Saves time and effort: This gets a task off my list, less time keeping up appearances means more time to sleep and hang out with my friends!
Rumor: I hear that the mice don't like the digs, but they get a nice meal and a new home in the woods.
Lonely: It's a big trap but only holds one mouse.
PG-rated: The butler doesn't like to set this trap and is often heard using salty language when he has to do it.
Price: This is one of the most expensive traps in it's class but Home Depot has one of the best prices around.

I had a mouse and after several web suggested live traps failed, I found this trap. The mouse is now living in a field far away and I am enjoying my mouse free home. 3 Mouse Tips; (1) Until you get this trap, leave crushed peanuts out so that he doesn’t search your kitchen for a meal. (2) He will probably take the bait after dark. (3) Don’t forget to lock the trap after you hear it triggered. I caught him and went to bed. Result, evening = mouse, morning = no mouse. He pushed the entry open and escaped. If nothing more, my failure proves that this trap is highly effective. The mouse was caught both times within an hour of setting it.

Thank goodness for this product. I was really concerned when I had a need for a mouse trap and after reading reviews I went with this option. It is very sensitive and trapped and held the mouse for relocation. We set it and checked it 24 hours later and the mouse was caught. Thank you so much for giving me back my peace of mind!

I wanted a chipmunk trap and I was lead to this mouse trap by the web site. It arrived promptly and I set it out twice. Both times one or both doors failed to fully close and the creature left with the bait.
It seems that the doors are too light or the cage is easily deformed causing the doors to fail to fully close or to bind on the sides of the cage.
I have had great experiences with larger traps (I own a racoon size trap and I borrowed a smaller one - the size I thought I was ordering) and they worked well, but this tiny trap was very disappointing. Perhaps weighted door or thicker metal on the cage would help.

I have been able to catch some mice and voles, but trap is a frustrating to set. Tiger is to sensitive for the elderly.

I set the trap and a few minutes later it is tripped. Poor design for trip. Description said this size for chipmunks. I think it is too small. Since the doors will not stay open, I guess it doesn't matter. Was a big waste of money!!!

My 10 year old grandson helped me construct the trap. He is pleased that it will not kill or maim the mice and voles. Instead, he wants to release them into the wild.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Chipmunk herder Simple and effective traps I use for chipmunks
Father-in-law told me these double door traps wouldn't work. WRONG! I've had this 3 trap setup for a few weeks now. After a little research I used the following info and have had non-stop success (yes there are a lot of chipmunks). I have not taken any scent precautions because the chipmunks don't care. I did, initially, bait the trap with both doors locked open so that the chipmunks would be comfortable entering the traps. And lastly, my tried and true bait is a very small amount of peanut butter on the trip plate in the center of the trap with some birdseed mix stuck to the peanut butter. The chipmunks can't help themselves!
