This was very easy to install and works great. I did not come across any of the issues listed in other product reviews. Only drawback is that the glass globe does not fit around the bulb due to extended length. Good purchase.

I bought this socket, easy install, worked perfectly. Ordered second socket for another lamp in same room, noticed that there was a clicking sound as I gently screwed it in, a noise I did not hear with the first installation. Flipped on the second switch and the FIRST lamp came on. Nothing on the new installation of the second lamp. HELP. Will recommend this product if I can get it to work. My goal is to have BOTH lamps controlled by one flip of the switch. Have ordered the outlet adapter to see if that will do the job. PS Both sockets are Es.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Exploited DO NOT BUY MORE THAN ONE
Heartbreaking. I have four closets in my house, all with pull cord ceiling fixtures. These have great range. I need four different channels. They come in five channels, A through E. Apparently there is no way, and NO INTEREST by Heath Co. to be able to specify the channel. I see A LOT of missed sales here. Too bad. Instead of being happy, I am frustrated. Further, the channel is clearly visible on each package. For what I might ask? So close, yet so far.

The remote socket and switch works well. It would be better if it came with a rocker switch as toggle switches are a thing of the past. The toggle switch worked for me because the switch was used for the master bathroom which only my wife and I use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by voidmain Works for old houses, pay attention to communication channel
I live in an old house and running wiring is a significant undertaking.
This remotely controlled lamp socket is what let me turn on a light on stairs without using old style pull-string switch.
IMPORTANT: when you **buy more than one** for different rooms, make sure that you are getting ones for different channels (A thru E)!
Currently the site does not provide you such selection and I had to contact customer service to take care of that.
The switch imitates look of normal light switches however is thicker, so sticks out more than typical one.
In addition, mechanically is not as reliable as electric switch what may cause that you have to adjust the way how you handle it. The thing is that when you quickly flip on-off, the lights stays on and vice verse with off-on. Not a biggy for me but it was a bit surprising that even light jiggling with the switch can case the light to turn.
Overall, I like it.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by christine possible solution to intermittent workability problem
i have this product and was also having the same issues as others regarding the light not working sometimes, after troubleshooting everything ( bulb, battery, making sure the on/off switch on the wall plate was making contact with the inside contacts) i realized that what the real problem was actually none of these. SOULUTION FOR ME: the end of the bulb itself was not making good contact with the inside of socket unit all the time because the inside contact of the socket had over time gotten pushed down, all i did was pull the little gold tab up a little with my nail and have had no problems since. hope this saves everyone a little bit of time and frustrations. christine

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sparky Easy fix for broken pull chain light socket.
Works great !!! My wife is very pleased she doesn't have to lean over the washing machine to pull the chain on our old light socket. You have to careful not to switch the light on and off too quickly. If you do the toggle on the switch may end up in the opposite position. If this happens, it's an easy fix, you just cycle the switch quickly and it returns to it's normal position.

The lamp socket and switch kit is a handy and inexpensive way to turn your garage light on or off from the house without having to hire an electrician to do the wiring
