This fan lasted 1.5 years and died. Granted, it was priced low but it's not like I wanted bells and whistles. I only wanted a simple, small table fan but, frustratingly, quality was not built in to this product. Thank goodness I was in the room when the fan seized. Who knows what might have happened!! I'll forfeit the chance to win $ 1,000.00 and not submit a photo of the product in action (as the site requests) because, well, you'll just see it nestled in the arms of its closest relative - a trashcan.

Two died within a few months - one is lingering on - squealing as if it's on its last leg. I'm sure it's close to dead. One of three dying, maybe a fluke. Two of three dying, more than coincidence. Three of three dying, definitely junk!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap Chinese garbage, stay away! Bought 4 of these approx 1 year ago, only 2 work. The Honeywell that looks just like this (i.e, the one they ripped and made cheap to maximize profit) still runs strong and it was purchased 18 months before these. Pay the extra $3 and don't support this kind of garbage. For fun I measured the amperage draw on these and the Honeywell, and this draws higher amperage and makes more noise on all 3 settings. One of the remaining 2 only works if I smack it after turning it on, initially the motor just buzzes and doesn't turn the blades at all. The other one frequently trips the GFCI outlet in my kitchen when it's turned on/off or the speed is changed.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4/5 stars is very high for me! I don't max out stars for reviews very often, very rarely actually. That being said, this fan really blows! There isn't much drop off at about 15 feet and it moves a very good amount of air. Moving to Southern Texas has made me needing fans, to work in the garage. I've had this one for about a month now. I also have "Old Breezey"- a 6 inch, white, plastic, square fan. I clean em up on occasion and he's never let me down. When I need a small breeze or if I have my attack Yorkies in the garage with me, then they get OB. If I need to get a good blast in the face, I use Fangita here! Only way it would get the fifth star is to be oscillating and wall or ceiling mountable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great as a treadmill fan. So I have had this fan for a year and so far so good. I placed it directly in front of my treadmill and pointed it up and it works great at keeping me cool while I am working out. I would say this fan would probably be best in a small room or when you are staying in one place, but for the price it works great for my purpose. When I first brought it home my husband said that little fan isn't going to do anything and now he keeps stealing it and moving it to his workshop to keep him cool while he is working. So it really does work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1/2 The Price of the Big Lasko that died. Does better easier to manage Can't speak to its longevity, but I would rather have two of these( or even one) than a 20" Lasko all day long. I've had both. Lasko lasted 2 or 3 years. I now have three of these little fans.
