Extremely easy to install- replaced two inefficient 10 year old ceiling fans with two of these. Very quiet and move tons of air. No wobble with the mount close to ceiling and very slight (almost unnoticeable) wobble with the 18 inch downrod for the cathedral ceiling. Make sure that you fully tighten the fan blades with all of the included washers provided- it takes some time. Love the contemporary look of the fan and the energy efficiency. So glad that they finally provided a LED light kit with this model.

Very quiet (wasn't sure a 3-blade would be, but it is) and makes a decent breeze on highest setting (nothing mind-blowing, just windy-ish). With that said, like other say, it wobbles like the dickens (have tried endless balancing tactics) and the remote is not the one in the picture on the website. In fact, I called into the support line, and they merely shipped me out the exact same crummy remote. Also, the fan does not come with a lightbulb (at least, mine didn't) and so I was stuck buying a $10 bulb (uses E11 size "mini candelabra", not too common, but you can find it on ebay). Overall, I want to love the fan, I just wish this was either complete, not wobbly, or something just isn't right.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fan I really like this design and it moves a lot of air on high. Pros: installation was easy. The wireless receiver is built into the motor casing so wiring was simple. Appearance is great, although watch out for scratches on the blades. It runs silent. Cons: Since the remote receiver is built in it won't be compatible with regular wall switches and dimmers. I tried to pair it with a hunter "universal" wall remote (model 99373) unsuccessfully.

I bought 3 of these fans for our home. 2 in the living room and 1 in the master bedroom. I am very disappointed in them. They put out good air if you are directly under the fan, but anywhere outside the radius of the blades you don't feel them at all. The remote works from only 10' away and that is if you have perfect view. Also, speaking of the remote. The black remote they have pictured is not at all what you are getting. All 3 of the fans came with a cheap looking white remote. Nothing like the one advertised which was one of the reasons I had picked this fan. The advertised remote is much easier to use as far as controlling the dimming of the light, which direction you are setting the fan blades to, has a breeze setting, and a timer setting for the fan. The actual included remote has 6 buttons for each speed of the fan labeled 1-6, a button to turn the fan off, 1 button for the light which you hold down while the light gets dimmer or brighter, and 1 button for the direction of the fan blades which you have to stand directly under the fan to feel the air to know which way it's blowing. The fan itself looks nice and it is very quiet. I had to buy 2 new canopies for my living room fans due to the sloped ceiling and incompatible factory one which I knew to expect from reading previous Q and A's. All in all, due to what I and the rest of the family feels due to the weak airflow, the falsely advertised and cheap remote and the weak range of the remote I do not recommend this fan.

You have to actually hang the motor before you can install the blades and the blades are very difficult to install as such. Then you add the light kit which has 3 screws to mount it but only two slotted holes which make it incredibly difficult to get the 3rd screw in place. Alignment of all of the fan blade and light kit screws are poor and you are working above your head with the fan motor swiveling around. Our first fan's light did not dim as advertised. The first fan just quit working in the middle of the night after 3 months. I tried to power off the fan and relearn the remote and it did nothing, but the light still worked so it was obviously the fan motor that died. We purchased the replacement hoping it was just a fluke. It was a installed a little quicker since I knew what problems I would face mounting it, but when I powered this one on the fan began running and would not acknowledge the remote. I double checked the power, tried again with the same results. So I thought I would just let it run overnight and disassemble and return the next day. I tried the learn process one last time an voila two blinks of the light indicating the remote was operational. The dimmer even works on the second light. Crossing our fingers that this one works for a long time The fan is very quiet and has lots of features but if it only lasts 3 months again we will get another brand. FYI this fan is only sold by Home Depot and the Fortston name is copyrighted to Home Depot indicating to me that HD wrote the specifications and has somebody in China build it for them so anyone who buys this will have an incredibly hard time getting replacement parts. According to the copywrite office of the USA the name is " abandoned " so they probably won't sell these for too long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Fan!!! We purchased thre of these fans and installed them ourselves. My husband is an engineer so that was helpful throughout the process of installation. They look super chic and cool off each room efficiently. Our mast bedroom gets a ton of sunlight so gets quite warm throughout the day. After we installed the fan the temeperature has cooled down significantly. I was a little hesitant about the reviews and it being a little squeaky, but no issues all all with any of the three fans. Love love love the look and if they made an even larger size for my living room I would purchase it.

Had my father come over and diagnose, he's an EE, he brought his meters and confirmed as much. Return and will move to something more reputable. Too expensive for these issues and does not put a lot of trust in their QA stickers.
