Answer:
No. It's intended to be mounted with a short 4.5-inch down rod that hangs from a C-shaped bracket attached to an electrical box in the ceiling. However, it hangs only about 14-inches from the ceiling, including the light kit.

We recently purchased a home that has 4 of these fans, we love the look of them and they seem to be quiet but we noticed when putting our sons room together that his light flickers like a strobe light once the light has been on for about 20 min. Does anyone know how to fix this issue?

Answer:
If the light is controlled by a dimmer switch, you may have a compatibility issue; replace the dimmer with a dimmer designed for LED use. But it is more likely that you have a defective LED module in the fan, which should be eligible for replacement under warranty.

Over heating seems to be an issue. Replace the defective light unit or return if recently purchased. There is no DYIer fix.

Why does light flicker when dimmed?

My fan was installed by a professional electrician. The light flickers when the bulb is dimmed even though the fan is off. At times, it also flickers (like a strobe) when the light is on and the fan is being powered off.
How can I stop this?

Answer:
You may have a poor quality switch or a loose connection between the wiring harness and the wall switch.
Some dimmer switches aren't designed for LED's, causing flickering or worse, a terrible hum.

I've discovered the remote system on this fan is very poor to say the least. It's very hard to work with and malfunctions a lot. Only way to fix, when ever problems arise, is to play with the wall switch and hand held remote to get system operating , ,, , , , ,

Given the wring setup, it is impossible to connect the electrical incorrectly. There are only two wires into the fan. There are multiple coming out of the remote unit. The lighting circuit has two quick connect wire connections.
The most probable problem is a defective light circuit. Next would be the transmitter receiver. An unlikely cuprite would be eth transmitter. You can test that. if the light is strobing,, remove the remote battery. If it has no effect the remote is not the problem.
Given the light is affected when the fan is turned off most likely the radio receiver or internal wiring is defective.
Whatever the case it is not an installation issue. Poorly connected wires do not give your the described effects.
The best solution is to return the unit to HD. Without expensive trouble shooting the system, you have no idea what repair parts to ask the mfg. for.
I installed two of these fans - one each in two small bedrooms. I have had no problem with either. That said they are little used except for the light, which is either on or off using a wall switch. I tested the remotes, but do not use them. Read Less

Answer:
According to the Home Depot website, this is the correct 36" down rod to use with this fan:
Hunter Model 26022 Internet #100075313 Store SKU #763683 Store SO SKU #1000626739
36 in. Brushed Nickel Extension Downrod
If the model numbers you have are 36" down rods perhaps they are different colors? 26022 is for a Brushed Nickel 36" down rod.
Good luck!

Merwry 52 in. LED Indoor Brushed Nickel Ceiling Fan is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 329.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great fan, LED has visible PWM The fan is great, blades on this are super easy to assemble and required no balancing. The remote control on this is excellent and easy to use. The one issue is the LED section. The light is bright and dims nicely, but on any level other than the highest, it has visible PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). This means to dim the light, it just flickers it on and off rapidly, which works, but leaves me with a strobe effect. A good light does this at a frequency too fast to notice, this one does not. It could induce a seizure or a headache in some people, so just be aware. The fan is awesome and quiet, i just wish the LED was not a flickering strobe and it came in a 5000K color as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great fan, instructions need a little clarity. This fan works great, was not hard to install, needed no balancing after installation and is quiet as can be, even on high. The instructions aren't "wrong" and will definitely guide you down the right path, but for someone who hasn't installed more than a couple ceiling fans, feel as if they could've been written for the slightly less knowledgeable. Simple things like what direction to point wires, how to insert the remote receiver, trimming the extra long wires if not using an extended downrod, light installation, etc... The instructions are good, could just use some added clarity for us beginners.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Beautiful but stops working!!!! AVOID IT Received the fan -paid to have it installed and LOVED it. Then it stopped working, then it started working then it stopped and never started again. Paid someone to look at it and they couldn't figure it out. Ordered a new one--paid to have it installed and loved it again. Then it stopped working. This entire cycle took about 4 weeks and would have been shorter if I didn't have to wait for the new fan to be ordered. I would NOT recommend this to anyone and I will kick myself forever for giving it a second chance.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good value Overall, this is a good fixture. The installation directions were clear and easy to follow. The price is very reasonable. The light does have a dimmer so varying brightness needs can be met. (glad I read the questions section). The fan is powerful. I would prefer the option of a slower speed. High speed is like a propeller! Way too fast!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from quiet, moves alot of air Great fan, clean look, and great air flow, remote it is a great deal, assembly very easy and fast, installation of the fan is simple, only issue is to trial fit the remote unit and make sure your wiring does not get in the way, liked it so much I have two installed now.

I'm sure it's the remote receiver or transmitter or both. To add insult to injury they want $60 for a remote replacement. It's like paying $50,000 for a car and $25,000 to replace a broken radio.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from STYLISH, PERFORMS WELL, GREAT MATTE BLACK COLOR, REMOTE CONTROL AND LIGHTED! I was a little concerned because I didn't know the name - wasnt familiar like Hunter or Hampton Bay, etc. However, I liked the look of the display, and it had none of those dated chains hanging from it. Its lightweight, was economically priced yet looks much more expensive, installs easily, and looks great. Includes lighting and a remote. Installation is simple and can be done by one person. This was the last one they had instore at The Home Depot, while the shelves were packed with the competitors. Obviously its a good seller. Overall, this fan was a GREAT choice; highly recommend!

Fan motor is very quiet....although it does make noise, what you hear is the movement of the air, so the faster it is going the more you hear, but it much quieter than our old Hunter fan. Fan was replaced due to the high, being not high enough....and the new one defiantly surpasses the speed of the old one. Was installed by homeowner, but took time. We had a small electrical box, due to age of home (1930's) so it took some finagling. One end of the remote goes into the fan at the ceiling, so read that page carefully....only fits one way. Took a while to install, but looks great and am very pleased with it. Led light is very bright, brighter than we are used to, but have gotten used to it. It is a warm white light, not harsh at all.
