Product arrived on separate days, boxes were damaged and as a result the hardware was spilled all over the box. I was short some washers and had to get some to finish assembling the couch. Two legs are damaged and I will be asking for replacements. The couch is firm and solid from what I can tell. It's a good height and length for my space. Overall I like it. It doesn't have any real give, maybe because it's new, but the arms don't have any real padding to them so you will need pillows to be comfortable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Assemble it-yourself tan sofa This sofa arrived when it was predicted to arrive -on Christmas Eve- the first 2 largest boxes in the mid-afternoon, and the 3rd,23-lb one around 6pm . There was one page of "ideogram " / drawing directions. If I hadn't known something extra about upholstery , it would have taken me a lot longer than 2 and 1/2 hours to assemble that sofa by myself. There are 5 main pieces to assemble this sofa, ( The back , the 2 sides ,the padded frontice piece , the platform / deck on which the 3 cushioned seats rest... ) There are also the 4 legs and the 3 seat cushions ( not designed to be flipped , as the underside is covered in black mesh material which is also a little bit "grippy' ...) It comes with a hex "key" tool , which is the only tool needed for assembly. (you may want to use a screwdriver for inserting the thin screws into the platform , but it isn't critical... ) Assembly steps are as follows : 1 ) screw legs into the holes drilled for them into the 2 sides... note it may work out for you that if you start screwing the leg the way you want it to be when it is finished, then it will probably work out that way... otherwise, there is some trial and error . The legs have a slight "sabre" flare , are made of a reddish compound made to resemble cherry-finished wood , but is not wood at all, but do have individually adjustable height inserts . 2) Join the sides to the back, 3 long ( 21/2 "" screws per side....you get to them by lifting up the Velcro-ed flap at the underside of the back section . This is the part that is not mentioned in the diagram , and would remain hidden to most people , I think . It is helpful to have another person's help at this point , in lining up all 3 holes per side and getting the double- ended bolts/ screws in and tightened. ( I am sure there is another , more proper name for the mechanical joiner , but I don't know it right now , so forgive me. It wasn't labeled .) 3) The long, padded " front" or "frontice" goes on next, attaching to the 2 sides sections . 4) place the last section down, black mesh material side up, resting on the long rims of plywood on the front and back long sides. Use the remaining screws to attach this framework. 5) Put the seat cushions on the deck. Unless someone out there gets something a different size than I did , you will notice that the seat cushions are a little deeper than the deck is, and will be "proud" of the deck by about an inch . I got nearly what I expected to receive. ( The instructions should have been clearer) . The sofa is definitely a beige ( instead of the "green family" I had seen it being listed as part of ...) It is also a microsuede , which can make it difficult to say just what exact shade the lighting is helping to produce , but overall, the tone is much darker than what is shown in the photo . It is much more tan than "bisque" or "ivory" . The microseude is a stiffer quality , that attracts some extra fuzz and threads , probably because of the low humidity with indoor heating.... There was quite a bit of "manufacturing" dust / mini-threads , etc that had to be vacuumed before first use. No big deal , but it is something that gets taken care of when one pays full price for a completely assembled and delivered product . Now, what I wanted and got 100% was 1) a slightly smaller footprint than my previous sofa : it is more slender( in depth) and about 6 inched narrower . 2) I wanted a sofa that " sat" higher and a little stiffer . ( I was "sinking " into my other sofa- which is great for a nap , but not for sitting while reading or watching TV-. ) 3) a solid back that my dog can't "mash" down into a mushy mess . I have had this sofa for a week now and I am pleased with it , overall. I would have liked a slightly softer " hand" or touch to the fabric and I would have been super pleased to get the shade that is shown in the photo , and I would have preferred real wood legs, in a nice finish , but I really like the size and the way this sofa sits.. and I wasn't able to find that in any of the stores I have shopped at in at least 5 years . I am not sure how well this sofa will hold up in terms of its manufacture and my assembly, but time will tell . I spent some time studying the various pieces before assembly, and a good thing is that they were made with thick, dry plywood ( versus cheaper MDF ) and the upholstery " stuffing" seems top notch and thorough... there are no places where material is left to cover over a gap alone ; there is always some supportive structure . The deck is of a design that may offer the best of flexibility and strength - I don't know, but it does look like it all could be fixable by someone somewhat handy . The sofa would not take too much material to completely recover, either ,especially if one wanted to make the seats " flippable."...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Above average for the price, and easy to assemble! Title pretty much says it all. This couch was delivered VERY quickly and came in 3 boxes. A moderately fit person would be able to move all of the boxes on their own. Once you get everything unpacked and laid out, assembly is very simple. There are only 4 main components (two armrests, the back, and the kickboard/front border of the couch). It took me a little while to get the feet screwed into the bottom of the armrests, only because I wanted them perfectly square/lined-up and they become a little difficult to turn if you want to put them on really tight (but that's just me, you don't have to torque on them a lot if you don't want to). After that however, it was just a matter of screwing in a few bolts with the provided alan wrench. Within 90 minutes, I was laying down the baseboard within the frame and setting the cushions on it. Cushions are very firm when they arrive but break in easily and have a slight give but are still firm enough to be supportive. The quality of the material the couch is made out of is smooth and soft. Haven't had the need to yet, but I would imagine it would be easier to clean spills up on this couch compared to one made of standard fabric. Like the color, and for the price, this was a very good buy. Would recommend if you are on a budget.
