Shelving units that I can buy in stores are usually too deep for my small storage area. Therefore, I hoped for the best and ordered one of these units to see how it would work. Since you can store up to 200 lbs per shelf, this shelving unit was perfect -- so much so, that I have ordered another two. I couldn't be happier. I will now have an organized pantry. I should also mention that I chose the black shelving units since I thought they looked less industrial than the chrome.

Good solid shelf. Easy to put together. Definitely not commercial grade, but more than sufficient for home use.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Daisyland Sturdy, adjustable, good looking.
Purchased 3 units (5 shelves each) so I could set up 2 units with 6 shelves each and one with 3 shelves only for best use of space in small craftsroom. Customization added lots of usable space to my room. Shelving of these dimensions is not easy to find; it works and looks great.
Assembled each unit by myself except for base shelf set-up, where hubby helped keep 4 uprights straight while I brought down bottom shelf through uprights. You will need a rubber mallet to pound in shelves and a step stool or ladder if you are short.
Shelving comes with graphic instructions only; short written instructions would have saved me some time and would be helpful for someone who does not have experience assembling (I do).
Units are somewhat pricey but I definitely would recommend.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Ehkzu Excellent buy--easy to assemble, strong overall, handy size
We needed shelving shallower than the 18"-24" depth that was all Costco offered--or that we could find at the large local Home Depot store.
This worked perfectly. The only possible downside is that the wire shelving's load capacity is for a distributed load; it might bend in places if you tried to stand on one part of the shelf. Not a problem 99% of the time--just something to bear in mind.
It is wire shelving, as opposed to the particleboard or plastic shelving you normally find. As long as that's not a problem, this is a high value choice, and the resulting shelving is a little lighter while being just as strong overall. Every kind of plastic shelving we've ever gotten has sagged in the middle eventually. It doesn't look like this will do so.
Assembles without tools, except that you should have a rubber mallet (under $5 at any hardware store) to tap down the corner of each shelf on its support.
I plan to get more of this shelving as the opportunity arises.
Also, delivery was timely and arrived with contents as ordered in intact packaging.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by CoolCampbell Product looks much more expensive than it cost.
Very well packaged. The detail looks much better in person than online. Read through instructions once, took about 15 minutes to assemble. Extremely sturdy and looks great in my kitchen.
