My mattress is inside a bed bug protector case. Do i need to remove before putting mattress is the bag or does it stay on?

I have an exterminator that treated my bedroom and daughter's bedroom last week on Wednesday and against yesterday (7 days apart). My husband has been sleeping on the mattress 24 hours later, since the exterminator said it is okay to sleep on it after 24 hours. Over the 6 days he was getting less bite. Last night he was attacked, while sleeping. He woke up after a few hours of sleep itching really bad. We looked at the bed and noticed there was 10 live bed bugs, from size of a pencil dot to apple seed. Shouldn't this not have happened? Can I use these products along with the exterminators treatment?
Asked by: Lory
Yes, if you're treating for bed bugs, you should remove any type of encasement first.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of Time I did something I never normally do, bought a product without checking the reviews online. I went to Home Depot to by a bed bug killer that had good reviews, When I got to the store they were out of stock. I saw the Bed Bug Mattress Kit and decided to try it, bought two as Hot Shot usually had good reviews for their other products. Since we were going away for the weekend I thought that this would be the perfect time to use it. When we returned home Sunday evening I checked the bed and the box spring but didn't see any sign of bed bugs. Tuesday morning when I woke up, there was the telltale sign, spot of blood on the sheet. So the war continues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY I followed the directions and, I even kept the bags on two additional days. Once I remove the bags I put, fresh linen on my bed. That evening after retiring to bed, I wasn't in the bed a hour when I was bitten simultaneously. A big bug was on my back, and a red one was on my leg. I jump up and turn the light on and there they were. I was totally disgusted. They don't want you to mention price and I want but do know, I purchases two bags. I really believe that the bugs multiply in this bag?...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Customer Service of Manufacturer After writing my review of this product, the manufacturer contacted me and spoke to me regarding their product. After speaking with a very nice customer service rep, I was issued a refund because the product I purchased did not work for me. They are researching to make this product better use for their customers. They care how their product works and what their customers have to say about it. If you have a problem with this product, I encourage you to get in touch with the manufacturer.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from It may work if treat for two months I used this product four times. The first one was for my tenant in Lowell, MA. I treated her mattress for 7 days. The first night after the treatment, she got a lot of bites from the bedbugs. She was really mad at me. The second time was a tenant in Worcester, MA. I treated his mattress for 9 days, He opened the bag and immediately saw two bedbugs slowly moving. He was mad too. The third time was in a different building in Worcester, MA. I treated the mattress for 45 days, and it seemed worked. The student who has been using the mattress since last month has not complained about any bedbug bites. The fourth time is what I am doing now. A student brought in his own mattress, and stayed in one room for only 2 months, then got bites from bedbugs. I immediately replace his mattress with my new one, and put his mattress under treatment. I will treat it for two months this time. I hope it will work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Waste of money We followed the directions and wound up leaving the bag on the bed an extra day. We took the bag off and aired it out as directed. That night I went to bed. I wasnt in the bed 10 minutes and I had a bite on my back. My husband was also bit several times. The bed bugs were still alive on the bed! Waste of money and time!
