Answer:
I didn't know there were doors to open. Only holes to enter into (or not)...Perhaps that's my problem; Maybe I should call a locksmith?

Answer:
No doors; slots. I'd recommend cutting across the top and bending the plastic flaps back to make access easier, but keep the traps out of the reach of kids & animals.

I can not answer your question exactly, but can say I have purchased them and used only half or less, and used of the remainder MORE than 6 mos. later and they seemed to be as effective as the very first ones I used months before last spring !

No, it's not listed for control of ants. Try Hot Shot Ultra Clear Roach & Ant Gel Bait: http://www.homedepot.com/p/Hot-Shot-2-5-oz-Ultra-Clear-Roach-and-Ant-Gel-Bait-HG-95769-3/202447795. Good luck!

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 33 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not Great Unfortunately, this product does not really work well. Was not satisfied with the product. July 12, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to detach and use The roach baits separate easily and are easy to place in small areas of closets, attics, crawl spaces, etc. Only put them in a few weeks ago, but so far, no signs of roaches in house. The baits are supposed to last for several months, so I plan on purchasing more of these baits when the time comes. June 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what it says! Great product! I'd been living in my house for over 2 yrs and never had roaches. This summer they came from nowhere. I was a little skeptical to try this at first because how cheap the price was and how it states that it works instantly to within hrs. It really does what it says, after the 3rd night I got up for some water. Only saw one roach running around and I killed it. This works great! And I only 6 traps around the kitchen. It's been 2 weeks and only do I see one once in awhile. June 18, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Roach Bait not great I have strategically placed the roach baits and still see just as many bugs. I do not feel the product was effective at all. May 10, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by None seen but dead ones Don't have a major problem with these critters but living in the country you will. Started to see some activity placed some around, now only see dead ones. May 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Got rid of 'em. What can I say? It worked they are no more. will keep the bait in action in case roaches decide to have a very short visit. April 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Didn't work Placed several of these bait traps all over my kitchen and there was no change to how many roaches I would see. it didn't matter how clean my kitchen was, roaches were still very active using this product. April 26, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Still "death by hand" two months later... "Check in; don't check out"? Dunno, still an issue, hand squash has become sport. WD-40 (or equivalent) works instantly for those too fast to squarsh outright. PS. Wife even found one in bed this am. This is an absolute first. I don't think the bugs like the rates at the "motel"... March 22, 2016
