CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 58 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Better features than other brands This is a nice unit. It feels sturdy, has an overhanging lip to keep rain water out, and also has a strip of weather-seal running around the lid. It even has a spot where you can bring a power cord into the box through a weather-sealed notch. I was looking for a large, UV-stable tote to carry camping gear, and be able to toss in the back of a pickup truck, boat, etc without having to worry about the lid flying off or rain intruding. The handle and wheels are a bonus, as it will make it that much easier to haul everything from the car to the camp. Other comparable brands were not weather-sealed and also had less user-friendly latches. The handle isn't really long enough to pull the bin behind you without occasionally catching your heels, but if you hold it to your side it's fine. According to the sticker, it's Made in the USA. Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for what I need it for I don't use this for work but for play. I have a couple of expensive rc cars that aren't really small, and I looked around for something that was water proof and had enough room to keep the two cars and its extra parts. I custom made a shelf in side so one goes on top of each other, with out touching. I purchased one these but the cover was deformed so I retuned it and got this one. There are two nice latches where you can put locks on plus it has its own lock and key which is an extra. very happy so far . I plan on buying another one for my other rc cars. February 9, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent box for the cost I got this box to actually store other boxes, and it works like a charm. I have a lot of tools that came with their own cases, and all of those tools fit in here (cases included) along with some additional accessories in the top, removable shelf. Specifically, I've got a lot of Makita stuff, most of it in cases. The Husky box is holding a circular saw, a reciprocating saw, a jigsaw, an impact driver, and a hammer drill, all in hard plastic cases. Additionally, there is a multi-tool and an angle grinder in a bag, and a router in no container at all. The top shelf has a pair of 12" Irwin clamps, a pair of Irwin corner clamps, a small set of Ryobi router bits, and a small set of Milwaukee jigsaw blades. The only thing I was hoping it would hold but doesn't is the 36" Irwin clamps (which it turns out are about 40" long). The box is lockable (simple lock and key set included) and can take other locks through the metal clasps. The wheels are nice and large, and the retractable handle feels strong when pulling the box. Perhaps best of all, the entire thing fits in the backseat of my car (a Mazda 6) without issue, making it extra portable. The 48" version of this same box is around 3x the cost, which makes this particular unit very cost-friendly. It's mostly plastic, yes, but it's thick, sturdy plastic and simply feels rugged. If you have a need to organize (like me) or just need a large, sturdy storage box, it's hard to go wrong here. July 10, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Box I checked out both the Husky and Stanley boxes at the store. Although the Husky box does not have lifting handles, it's still better than the Stanley box. Husky is water resistant and has better locks. The Stanley has open holes that will let any blowing rain or snow right into the box. Also, Husky was cheaper. Pick Husky. You won't be disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeps my pickup cab clutter free I bought this so I could put some of my tools in my bed instead of in the cab of my truck. It holds a Porter Cable pancake compressor, a Makita circular saw in the case, a framing nailer in it's soft case, an air hose and extension cord and a few extra small things like 1 pond boxes of nails and screws tucked into the corners. I don't carry these things around all the time so a permanent box mounted in the bed wasn't for me. I could also see using this box for camping or picnics. They would be smart to put a drain plug in it and sell it as a dual purpose tote. I may get another one so ALL of the tools are out of the cab. Was ten bucks cheaper than the Stanley brand, and they are fairly identical. Comes with two keys and the option of putting a padlock on it as well. June 23, 2013
