Can the handle be put on left end?

Has anyone tried putting the handle on the opposite end from where it is intended to be installed? Is it strong enough to just drill holes on the opposite end, and install the handle? If not, has anyone come up with a way to reinforce it? Thanks.

Answer:
I have 2 of these in my garage and wanted them to butt against each other. I used RivNuts to relocate the handle on one of them to the other side and it worked great. Don't forget to move the swivel casters to the handle side.
BTW - RivNuts is how the manufacturer attaches the handle and other accessories.

Answer:
The structure is the same at both ends so it would not be a problem but also change the wheels from end to end to make it easier to steer.

All drawers extend out the same distance. At full extension, they all have 1-1/2 inches still inside the unit.

All the drawers fully extend. All the slides are ball bearing and work very well. I am very pleased with mine. I don't move mine around. I made a spot for it against the wall and that's where it stays. If you are going to move it only once in a while this is an excellent buy. If you plan to move it from job site to job site I don't think it will hold up over time. I hope this is helpful.

There isn't any reason you couldn't attach a vise to the work top. That being said, I probably wouldn't recommend you do so unless you mount the whole cabinet to a solid base backed up against a solid wall. I think you would find the unit a bit wobbly if you have it mounted on the wheels and try using the vise to hold an object for sawing or pipe threading. I think you would find the unit a bit wobbly if you have it mounted on the wheels and try using the vise to hold an object for sawing or pipe threading. Anything that would apply lateral pressure will cause the cabinet to move. A lot of it will depend on what size vise you plan to use, what you plan to do with the vise, and how frequently you'll be using the vise. Bottom line, I suggest you find some other place to mount your vise. Read Less

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great b buy I bought this one and 7 of the 46 inch for work, two 46 inch ones for my house but the 52 inch also for my house I love them no issues at all hold lots and lots of stuff and the quality is exceptional and the customer service at Home Depot is phenomenal any issues I had they would go above and beyond to take care of me but they made me feel that they understood and agreed with any issues I had Thank You Home Depot you will continue to get my business for ever and ever and I'm very satisfied with the carts I mean think about it I have three of them at my house and that doesn't include the double stack that I also bought December 6, 2015
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Tool Chest for the money. The chest came 95% assembled, only needed to install the caster wheels and the handle, both were simple. You just need to unpack slow and use the packing material to lay the chest onto, first on it's back, then upside down to make installing the wheels easy. The only comment I would have is it would be nice if the handle was able to attach to either end, to make moving the chest easier? The draws open and close freely, even when full of tools and the chest rolls well on a flat surface. April 26, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Tool cart Good quality large enough to hold everything would of liked the peg board attachment but have been unable to find it other then that happy with the purchase April 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great work bench-tool chest love my new work bench/tool chest. Great price and great quality. One problem, came with a small dent on the side at the bottom. Probably hit with the fork lift. But it didn't effect the opening of the drawer so I kept it. April 18, 2016
