Can the handle be put on left end?

Has anyone tried putting the handle on the opposite end from where it is intended to be installed? Is it strong enough to just drill holes on the opposite end, and install the handle? If not, has anyone come up with a way to reinforce it? Thanks.

Answer:
I have 2 of these in my garage and wanted them to butt against each other. I used RivNuts to relocate the handle on one of them to the other side and it worked great. Don't forget to move the swivel casters to the handle side.
BTW - RivNuts is how the manufacturer attaches the handle and other accessories.

Answer:
The structure is the same at both ends so it would not be a problem but also change the wheels from end to end to make it easier to steer.

All drawers extend out the same distance. At full extension, they all have 1-1/2 inches still inside the unit.

Answer:
All the drawers fully extend. All the slides are ball bearing and work very well. I am very pleased with mine. I don't move mine around. I made a spot for it against the wall and that's where it stays. If you are going to move it only once in a while this is an excellent buy. If you plan to move it from job site to job site I don't think it will hold up over time. I hope this is helpful.

The wheels raise the unit 6 inches. I had considered building a base of 2 x 4's but decided to use the wheels that come with the work bench in case I want to move it to clean under it. Hope this answers your question.

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 291 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Husky Tool Box I purchased 6 units to connect into a single work station. The quality of the boxes are good. The prices are reasonable. They work as I expected. There are several ways that these could be improved. First, the rolled edges on the boxes were not completely rolled over and had to be flattened prior to putting them together. Second, the casters could be of better quality, I replaced them. Third, none of the boxes are keyed alike and it was a difficult process to get matching lock sets. Fourth, the handles are only mounted on one side, I had to install rivnuts on the opposite side to be able to put handles on both ends. All in all, it wasn't too difficult to build the work station in one day and it works very well. I'm happy with the outcome. July 17, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value Bought this after debating over the Husky tool chest. Size wise it was a better fit for my needs and the price creates a great value. My unit was already assembled so just had to unload it and cut some drawer liners. It doesn't come with the liners so I bought 2 roles of the Husky brand and was able to line all the drawers although the 2 bottom ones I used remnants but was able to get full coverage. I'm very happy with the value. I'm sure there are more heavy-duty and higher priced brands out there but this is a nice addition to my home shop. July 23, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by acceptable cabinet Extremely poor quality lock. Do not use the lock. Screws missing. Good wheels, acceptable cabinet. DO NOT USE the LOCK! July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Value EXCELLENT TOOL CHEST. LOVE THE SOLID WOOD WORK TOP AND THE LARGE WHEELS. MAKES FOR EASY MOVING. PLENTY OF STORAGE FOR ALL YOUR TOOLS AND THE TOP DRAWER CAN HOLD YOUR LONGER TOOLS LIKE BREAKER BARS, PRY BARS, ETC. July 14, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by great b buy I bought this one and 7 of the 46 inch for work, two 46 inch ones for my house but the 52 inch also for my house I love them no issues at all hold lots and lots of stuff and the quality is exceptional and the customer service at Home Depot is phenomenal any issues I had they would go above and beyond to take care of me but they made me feel that they understood and agreed with any issues I had Thank You Home Depot you will continue to get my business for ever and ever and I'm very satisfied with the carts I mean think about it I have three of them at my house and that doesn't include the double stack that I also bought December 6, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent storage, poor handling of item We purchased this recently after waiting for it to go on sale based on the information of a store employee. It never did but we went ahead and purchased it. We asked for the work bench in a box because it would be easier to fit in the car and get out when we get home. When we got home, I was very disappointed because I found very noticeable dings on 4 spots and it took some work to get 2 of the drawers open. My husband does not want to return it since he just assembled it but I was disappointed that a new unopened box had so many dings versus the assembled version at the store. I will make sure we think long and hard on purchasing a big item like this from Home Depot again solely based on the handling and care of the items. The bench itself is very nice and sturdy. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by More Bang for your Bucks Had wanted this work bench for a year. Great buy on a sturdy, well made box. Note, it does not come with shelf liners, but that's easily fixed at "the Depot"!. June 28, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great workbench with lots of storage space Workbench held (most) all my tools with room to spare. Unit does NOT include drawer liners but other than that it suits it's purpose and is a great value. June 28, 2016
