Can the handle be put on left end?

Has anyone tried putting the handle on the opposite end from where it is intended to be installed? Is it strong enough to just drill holes on the opposite end, and install the handle? If not, has anyone come up with a way to reinforce it? Thanks.

Answer:
A more simple answer is that the box comes with only one set of pre-installed mounting points for the handle.
More expensive brands often have pre-installed mounting points on both ends. The Husky brand tool boxes only have them on one side. This seems to carry across their brand.

I have 2 of these in my garage and wanted them to butt against each other. I used RivNuts to relocate the handle on one of them to the other side and it worked great. Don't forget to move the swivel casters to the handle side.
BTW - RivNuts is how the manufacturer attaches the handle and other accessories.

Answer:
The structure is the same at both ends so it would not be a problem but also change the wheels from end to end to make it easier to steer.

All the drawers fully extend. All the slides are ball bearing and work very well. I am very pleased with mine. I don't move mine around. I made a spot for it against the wall and that's where it stays. If you are going to move it only once in a while this is an excellent buy. If you plan to move it from job site to job site I don't think it will hold up over time. I hope this is helpful.

This will release the catch on each side and allow the drawer to be fully removed. To re-install the drawer align the Silver slides on each side and push the drawer in. There is no need to do anything with the nylon catches during reassembly they will just lift up and re catch as the drawer is reinserted. Read Less

I built a custom frame for all 3 to sit in and took the wheels off. I bought a 14ft section of cheap counter top and attached it to the top of the boxes and I use it as my work bench/man cave bar. Everybody is blown away at how good it looks and how clean it looks. drawers are sturdy and reliable locks work as they should. I would change to different wheels if I where rolling it around a lot but I'm not so not a big deal for me. the image is before I finished the last frame but you get the idea.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent workshop tool box I bought 2 of these units to mount permentantly into my workbench. I wanted drawers to keep stuff neat in my wood shop and to be honest, the deal I got on these I couldn't build drawers cheaper. These tool boxes aren't intended for heavy tool loads. They are ball bearing smooth rolling drawers. They're nice. But definitely not heavy duty. For the weekend warrior mechanic or craftsman they will do well. The wood top is removable and decent quality for doing most projects. I really like the long full length top drawer. For the price plus my military discount I couldn't pass them up

I am just using it for home garage storage so I did not need a professional quality box. It was larger and less expensive than a HF box I was looking at and appears to be better quality. I would say for occasional use it is a very good value. I had several Craftsman boxes for many years and this box is much better quality than those.

That way I would have tool drawers to hand in my cramped garage. It is working beautifully and has been perfectly steady. I did have to remove the wheels as they had too much wiggle; which was amplified by the top heavy weight. The drawers are a pleasure to use. I couldn't find any other tool chest of this size within $400 of the price I paid.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yours is an understandable and workable title for the 9-drawer work cabinet. Product arrived ahead of promised delivery date. Unloaded and unpacked while delivery driver waited until receiving inspection complete then, with wife, assembly was successfully completed within 45 minutes. Product was put into service immediately and is in use today. Now my garage looks like a Cadillac Show Room, not like Skeets Garage and Barn. That kind of service, at a fair price, is exactly what I, and I believe other customers expect; not a serenade of "I'm sorry, etc. apologies." when their products, delivery times, and defects show up. A big thanks!

I had the older model of this mobile bench/tool box and wanted another like it but was unable to buy the same product as it was not offered. This unit isn't the same quality as the older unit (6 months old). Several slight differences and as it is a nice unit and would recommend to anyone to buy it, I myself won't as they have cut several corners that I personally feel make the tool box better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great roll around work bench This is a very good value for someone that needs to have their tools and a work surface close by such as working under the hood of a car. Found the unit to be easy to move around with ample storage space for tools. Unit sturdy with easy slide drawers. I like the way drawers stay closed so they do not slide open when cabinet is rolled around.
