Has anyone tried putting the handle on the opposite end from where it is intended to be installed? Is it strong enough to just drill holes on the opposite end, and install the handle? If not, has anyone come up with a way to reinforce it? Thanks.

Answer:
A more simple answer is that the box comes with only one set of pre-installed mounting points for the handle.
More expensive brands often have pre-installed mounting points on both ends. The Husky brand tool boxes only have them on one side. This seems to carry across their brand.

I have 2 of these in my garage and wanted them to butt against each other. I used RivNuts to relocate the handle on one of them to the other side and it worked great. Don't forget to move the swivel casters to the handle side.
BTW - RivNuts is how the manufacturer attaches the handle and other accessories.

Answer:
The structure is the same at both ends so it would not be a problem but also change the wheels from end to end to make it easier to steer.

All the drawers fully extend. All the slides are ball bearing and work very well. I am very pleased with mine. I don't move mine around. I made a spot for it against the wall and that's where it stays. If you are going to move it only once in a while this is an excellent buy. If you plan to move it from job site to job site I don't think it will hold up over time. I hope this is helpful.

With the drawer fully out it will expose a white nylon piece with a slight bow in it. Use your left hand and push down on the bowed nylon on the left side of the drawer and with your right hand lift up on the nylon bow on the right side. This will release the catch on each side and allow the drawer to be fully removed. To re-install the drawer align the Silver slides on each side and push the drawer in. There is no need to do anything with the nylon catches during reassembly they will just lift up and re catch as the drawer is reinserted. Read Less

Rated 4.3 out of 5 by 323 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Husky Tool Box I purchased 6 units to connect into a single work station. The quality of the boxes are good. The prices are reasonable. They work as I expected. There are several ways that these could be improved. First, the rolled edges on the boxes were not completely rolled over and had to be flattened prior to putting them together. Second, the casters could be of better quality, I replaced them. Third, none of the boxes are keyed alike and it was a difficult process to get matching lock sets. Fourth, the handles are only mounted on one side, I had to install rivnuts on the opposite side to be able to put handles on both ends. All in all, it wasn't too difficult to build the work station in one day and it works very well. I'm happy with the outcome. July 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good Bang for the Buck I bought this box 7 months ago, my first mistake was to overload the top drawer causing the slides to fail. customer service helped me with the replacement slide though by time they got around to it I had already bought replacement slides from their hardware dept and riveted them in. Overall I am satisfied with the purchase and would recommend this box to anyone. Remember the top drawer is only good for 50 lbs. max! The slide they eventually sent me was not a replacement, it still would have been fitted with rivets and the existing holes required relocating and drilling. August 30, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by 52" Husky Very good quality for the price and I would recommend this to anyone! I think Husky builds great quality stuff! September 6, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Box for the Price After checking out several tool chests from Harbor Freight to Sears and Lowes this is by far the best bargain for the money. I was somewhat surprised at how good it looked and the wood work top really sets this chest off. September 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great tool box This is a great tool box. Great quality and value. Ample storage. September 7, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by cheaply made, but serves its purpose. After returning the first one, which had a broken drawer and huge dent in side, I got another one. Since nothing seems to be made with any quality anymore, this is an average product and serves its purpose. Will not be shopping at Home Depot any longer. Tired of lack of professionalism and poor quality products. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Good value for the money Seems to be well made. solid handle snd casters. I do not plan to overload the drawers as they are of medium gauge but the unit is a good value at $289. September 3, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great quality Only reason I did not give this a 5 star is because the tracking of the item was never correct. The only thing I do not like about this is it does not come with liners. September 6, 2016
