Can they work to take cellphone apart ?

Asked by: Leo
The latest version of this set includes one pentalobe driver. Luckily, it's the head that's used for the screw size in all iPhones... the P2 or 0.8mm star-shaped pentalobe head. The difference between pentalobe and hex is that pentalobe is a 5-star head with rounded star-points. The hex head is a 6-star head with sharp star-points. The hex will damage and strip iPhones screws. I bought my set at the Home Depot in Blaine MN. It looks identical to the one in this picture with the gray case. The outside of the package will show a symbol of the head types included... be sure to look for the odd-ball pentalobe symbol before purchasing (if that's what you're looking for).

what torx sizes are in set?

Asked by: puller
All, There was an update to this product to include some smaller bits (T3 & T4) but there is still some residual inventory that only includes the T5 - T8 sizes. If you have purchased this kit and did not get the smaller bits that were shown on the Home Depot.com website, please contact our customer service at the number below and we will send you the version you are looking for. We are sorry for the confusion this may have caused and our goal is to get this correct as quickly as possible for those who were affected. Customer Service #: 1-800-697-8665

Nut drivers in photo and not in set???

I have been to the store twice and I cannot find a set that contains nut driver bits as seen in the photo. I also see that nutdriver bits are not in the specification. Did the product change, and now the photo is wrong?
Asked by: RoadScholar
I purchased this product and as you have stated the nut drivers are not included. However, when I purchased this product online it did not show the nut drivers in the photo. I'm just going to assume this is an old photo, and the product changed.

How do we keep the blades from falling out?

The individual blades seem to be seated in the handle and the nut screwed down securely but the blades just fall out when pointed down. What are we missing?
Asked by: Padre
use an adjustable nut.

I thought this looked great, it caught my attention because of the number of sized tools it converts into but on the first try it failed me. The screw that holds down the insert does not do its job, the inserts slide out while the tool is being used. I will be returning it in the near future and will be looking to get a set that is fixed and not interchangeable. Thank you.

Bought these an hour ago at the local store to work a tablet computer. The one bit I absolutely needed, T6, is now stripped after tightening 2 screws. I hate to say it, but I've never had any luck with Husky brand precision tools. I have three different sets at this point, all in various states of damage (honestly the other two have stripped phillips drivers). This is the third and last set of Husky screwdrivers I'll ever buy. The price was certainly right, but you definitely get what you pay for with this brand. Now I'm off, back to the store to spend 3 times as much money on another set from a different brand.

This is a nice set that securely holds the easily-changeable bits in a comfortable handle. It comes in a sturdy plastic case that holds everything in place when not in use that identifies which bit goes where. It looks well made and strong, and it functions well with cell phones, calculators, etc., but I have never had to apply heavy loads on the bits I have used. It is a good set for the price, far better than the el cheapo ones, but at a much lower price than the ultra premium brands.

First, the interchangeable tips would not reliably "pinch" and stay in the handle no matter how hard I tightened it. I tried working around this deficiency by holding the tip in place until the driver head was seated in the screw only to be further dismayed when the tip deformed and disintegrated trying to turn the screw (this means the un-hardened, cheap, T7 screw metal is actually stronger than the head of the tool). I'll give this kit 2 stars since I suspect this it would work OK for something incredibly light-duty with little load or tension - think eye glasses - but then it's very unlikely you'll see a torx screw used in those applications. I returned this set and bought a Wiha wing-handled, hardened torx driver set and couldn't be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great multi-tool Pros: 1. Quickly change from one tool to another without the bulk. 2. Durable; had some concern with some older fasteners that appeared to be rusted in place, but the tips held up well and didn't even need to use WD40 or any other break-away spray. Cons (and this is reaching): 1. Tool tips appeared to back out of the handle when loosening. Make sure when locking tips/bits in place that the locknut is acutely tightened.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happily suprised I have had small screwdriver says in the past but this one stands apart with its great durability. The addition of a case means that unlike other sets that keep the pieces inside the body of the screwdriver, this tool is unlikely to be lost in the bottom of my tool bag. I found this set at a great price point compared to its peers and I love that it comes with the Husky lifetime warranty.
