Installed new 2-1/2 years ago and it started leaking. Many other options with better warranties for same or less money.

The install was pretty simple. It worked great for about a week.
Then it just stopped working.

After turning off electricity, disconnected and removed old disposal and replaced it with new disposal without any difficulty in about total time of 30 minutes. Turned electricity back on and found it works very well.

I bought this one to replace a defective one that had been there for two decades, it was leaking water from bottom. By buying the same model the plumbing (drain) matched up perfectly. I recently bought a cheaper one from another manufacturer (for investment property) and I can tell you, Badger has the best mounting mechanism. I can use an allen wrench from the bottom to turn the spindle, to clear a jam, the other manufacturers disposal I need a broom stick from the top to clear a jam.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by JCBanzai Disposes of food waste with style and class!
Our previous InSinkErator Badger 1 food waste disposer provided 14 years of daily use. After a distinguished career it finally retired. We chose to replace it with a new younger Badger 1 model. All of the connections were the same and made installation very easy.
We are very pleased with the InSinkErator Badger 1 food waste disposer and highly recommend it.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by jh Stared leaking after ten years of light use
Beware if you have wood floors and InSinkErator products. I had the Badger 1 and the hot water dispenser. Both eventually started leaking and had to be replaced

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by DesertRaven 8+ year old disposal finally died
My house was built in 2006/7, we bought it in 2008, and the Badger 1 that was installed in the house, before we moved in, has finally died. Was a piece of cake to remove and the NEW Badger 5 seems really easy to install. We bought the Badger 5 to replace the 1, because none of the stores around here have any new Badger 1s to replace the dead one with.
Original problem was that the 1 was leaking internally. Bought the 5 this last Friday, and with the struggles of everyday life, finally got to remove the 1 today and install the 5. Sunday, the 1 completely DIED. Turned on the disposal and it bogged down, so I grabbed the garbage disposal wrench and got the water to flush, BUT no matter what I did to work for a little longer, it would not spring to life and run.
