Will this product remove "etching" in a bisque colored sink? I've already replaced the sink once.

Asked by: Stephen
This very low abrasive but does have a polishing effect, after use let dry a couple minutes and then polish with a tea towel for maximum shine.

Is this product safe to use on a 50 year old Kohler sink?

I recently purchased a home built in 1965 that has an original Kohler, white porcelain finish, cast iron sink in the Kitchen. The sink is in immaculate condition with no rust, chips or stains. It, however, has not retained the luster in the basin of both bowls. I thought about using a waxing compound and a high speed buffer to see if I could restore the sheen. I would really like for this sink to look brand new again, as my intent has been to reinstall it upon completion of renovations. Will this product actually achieve the results I'm seeking, without damaging the finish? Thank you for your expertise.
Asked by: Ted
Probably, you know the drill 'try in an inconspicuous area first'.

8 oz. Cast Iron Kitchen Sink Cleaner is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 154.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from It really works! We bought a white Kohler cast iron sink. Within days of installing, every little thing seemed to leave silver scratch marks or rust stains. I tried online suggestions which didn't quite work. Ordered this product and was amazed that the scratches and rust spots came out. It also left a really nice shine. Kohler should include with purchase or at least recommend.

The fume irritates eyes and throats. We've been using baking soda for years and thought to give this a try. The result is very disappointing.

I bought this because the house I'm renting has an enameled cast iron sink and I was not having much luck getting a metal marks to come off of it. I didn't feel like this cleaned particularly well for things like stains, but it did help remove the grey marks my silverware and pots had made when nothing else had. I also think that it has helped buff the finish of the old sink, making it look a bit nicer and resist stains in the first place. I would recommend and will buy again, but will be using in addition to another cleaner with bleach.

Very tiny bottle of fairly ineffective goop for a lot of money. It works for mild staining, but so does dish soap and it's half the cost. This stuff is more like a polish, than a cleaner. If you have any kind of serious water spot issues, hard water, heavy stains, or build up this stuff is worthless. Use vinegar for a fraction of the cost.

My 6 yr old grey enameled Kohler cast iron sink was quite stained from coffee and tea. Baking soda had not worked and I was afraid to use anything harsher. Ordered this product, it is amazing! I did 2-3 treatments over a weekend, not much elbow grease needed, the first time I let it sit a while. Not only are the stains gone but it has restored alot of shine. Great product!
