toilet seat replacement for Kohler Rialto 1-piece toilet

I bought a toilet seat replacement, which of course doesn't fit since you can't get to the anchors underneath. What kind of toilet seat DOES work with this toilet???

Rialto 1-piece 1.6 GPF Single Flush Round Toilet in Black Black is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 84.

I purchased 3 Rialto toilets when I renovated my house 15 years ago and they have been the best toilets I've ever had. I love everything about them...the style, the shape, the clean lines. Overall, I really love this toilet. Here are some reasons why: 1. Very quiet flushing mechanism. Even after 15 years I continue to be impressed with the quietness of this toilet. 2. Low GPF and zero clogs. I've never had any problems with clogging, ever. 3. Solid construction, no leaking. My previous toilets were all 2-piece toilets and had problems leaking where the tank and the seat came together. The main reason I purchased the Rialto was because I wanted a 1-piece toilet so I'm happy to report no leaking whatsoever with this toilet. 4. Easy to clean (interior/exterior). The interior of this toilet is like any other so no difference in cleaning there. However, the exterior of this toilet is so much easier to clean than a 2-piece toilet since there are no seams/cracks between the tank and the seat. This is a perk that I wasn't considering when I bought them, but have been thankful for every time I've cleaned them over the past 15 years. 5. Comfort. The height of this toilet has been perfect for me and my family. Also, I think the fact that the toilet is 1-piece gives it a sturdiness that a 2-piece toilet just doesn't have. It's just a solidly, comfortable fixture. Throughout the years, our houseguests have often complimented us on our toilets. How often does that happen?! The only negative for this toilet for me was the price. At the time, I remember thinking it was an expensive purchase. In hindsight, it was absolutely worth it. They've been completely maintenance-free for the past 15 years. I literally haven't had to replace one single part. I highly recommend!!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor toilet I've been putting up with this toilet for over 3 years. It often clogs. I have to keep a plunger nearby. It has nothing to do with venting either as my vent system exceeds code. It has always had a slow leak with the flapper and it refills every 30 minutes or so. Now the fill valve has failed and it sprays water out the top which ends up on the floor. Unfortunately the fill valve and flapper are propriatary Kohler parts and are not easily replaced. I'm going to have to replace it. It will not be a Kohler toilet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Total waste of money I've had this toilet for 2+ years now. It has NEVER flushed completely, nor has the flapper sealed up completely. The ! piece design looks very nice except when you go to change the toilet seat. The seat is anchored into the porcelain with something similar to wall anchors and then the screws go into the anchor as such. Well after a year or so the "gunk" corrodes the screw to the point where when you go to remove it, the anchor just spins! But thats OK, because when you call the manufacturer up, they tell you they're aware of the problem and offer to sell you their special tool, for 45 DOLLARS!! which is nothing but a piece of stamped spring metal... that doesnt work. And you wont be satisfied that it doesnt work until you scratch up the glazing on the porcelain.. STAY AWAY FROM THIS JUNK

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Toilet Seat Design DON'T BUY THIS TOILET!! Looks nice, but the design makes it extremely difficult and expensive to replace the toilet seat. This toilet was in the house we just bought. Toilet seat was loose and cracked. Required a $50 part and a $50 toilet seat ordered from Kohler (Home Depot doesn't sell it) just to switch them out. And then the repair part broke during installation so now I'm back with a brand new (but still loose) toilet seat and will have to go through the whole process again. I may just buy a different brand toilet. Google it. You'll find lots of other people have had the exact same problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Unique design leads to trouble down the road. Hundreds of complaints related to changing the toilet seat. Seat anchors often get stuck and require $$$ repair kit which may also fail leading to a total toilet replacement that Kohler will not stand behind. Stay away from this one piece toilet or go with the two piece toilet.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from clogs easily, doesn't flush well, lasts only about 10 years we have this toilet in 3 of our bathrooms. we chose it because of its sleek look and smaller size. it clogs very easily and does not have a strong flush. we literally have to plunge it a few times a week. when we go away on vacation and use american standard toilets, we never have any issues! we've had them for about 10 years and they are all starting to malfunction. we will be replacing them with american standard. never buying kohler again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from bad toilette This toilette looks good and is nice small. The only problem is it is useless. I has no flushing power, runs incessantly and clogs way too easily. Have replaced flappers way too often and they are not cheap.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DONT BUY IT! If you, any member of your household, or any guest you may ever have in your house currently- or plan on going "#2" in the future- do NOT buy this toilet. You will have to plunge it often, snake it, and have plumbers come to your house. The plumber that came to my house said that this toilet & all "boy" toilets are horrible. After a year & four months of fighting with it we are replacing ours. We haven't even used it for "#2s" in over 6 months. HORRIBLE TOILET & NOT WORTH THE MONEY!!!!!
