Replacing a flapper is easy. Simply remove the old one and then connect the chain of the flapper to the old lever and the side connections onto either side of the toilet bowl stem. There are directions and a photo included with this product.

Answer:
try shorting the chain, put a little more slack in the chain attached to the handle, this way when flushing the flapper will not stand up so high.

Answer:
The chain may be too long. The shorter the chain, the faster the flapper should drop closed, assuming it hasn't come off. I am returning the ones I got because the toilet kept running and I finally looked and saw the flapper had floated off the hook on one side. The flappers that "snap" on are better. If you can adjust your chain to have less slack, it should pull the flapper down more quickly.

Let us help to get your new 100CM Korky® Ultra 2 in. Toilet Tank Flapper adjusted and working properly. There are a couple of adjustments we can make to ensure the flapper is optimized for your toilet. If you rotate the white band on the bottom side of the flapper to show a larger hole, it will close faster. If that is not enough, there is another red dial on the top of the flapper cone with numbers from 1 to 6 with different size openings. By increasing the size of the hole, the flapper will close faster. Plus 2 in. Toilet Tank Flapper is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 102.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flowing Water Woke up to the toilet tank running non stop water. Looked like the flapper shrunk and was not fitting correctly to stop the water from flowing into the toilet. Went to my computer and looked up on YouTube how to fix Went to the Home Depot website look to see what type of Flapper and made sure it was in stock. Drove to my local Home Depot found the Korky Flapper. It took about two minute to install and it stopped the water from flowing. A great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Easy These things eventually weaken and allow leakage from the tank, so I was really glad to find the exact product that had been in the tank. It was sooo easy to install and the price was quite reasonable. Thanks, Home Depot!
