Answer:
the body of the fan is plastic so it can be wiped clean with a cloth..the fan blades and inside according to instructions should be "vacuumed" with a dust attachment..you cannot take the back or front off to clean the blades..

Answer:
Just cleaned my old one, very easy to do. Two small screws hold cover face on, remove the screws and loosen tabs, comes right off. Used paper towels to clean fan blades and a small brush to clean front and back grills. Ten to fifteen minutes max.

the one I purchased does not have a remote control..my neighbor bought one that does have the remote and she likes it..it is more expensive however and the price on this fan at home depot is reasonable compared to other places...

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 142 reviewers.
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Check back with me in a year! Since this fan is replacing one a year old that just died from sticking bearings due to cheap lube oil I cannot say too much about it. I will disassemble it, clean out the bearings, and install good oil if I want it to last. This problem is common to all brands of Chinese made fans! July 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Cyclone 20" fan is "Very Noisy", and found Better! I use 2 fans to push the Hot air out of the house in the cool of the evening (all night during heat waves/ close windows at 7pm). I open screen doors/windows, on the other end of the house for flow thru...- This lowers inside temps in the house 15-20f, and I rarely have to use the AC! I've been using the WindMachine fans (on High), and they don't make enough noise to interfere with my watching TV/telephone.... I thought I'd give the Cyclone a try, and see if it pushed more air?- It was Very Noisy(Roar!), and I couldn't hear the TV, or phone ringing...! I'll stick with the WindMachine fans! June 19, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by WAY TOO NOISY!!! Bought this fan yesterday to help circulate air in my bedroom so I could use less central air. Turned it on the LOWEST setting and it was extremely loud (read: ROAR)! I have had many fans in my life and I could not believe how loud this was. I couldn't sleep with it on so I returned it. It may be good for the garage or somewhere far away where you can't hear it. Other reviews say it was not loud...I would recommend they get their hearing checked. July 24, 2016
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not much of a cyclone or power circulator for the price Moved air about as well as a cheap box fan. SoSad. July 17, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Circulator fan This fan helped out when our central air went out. It's a little noisy but cools down the area nicely. July 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rental Home I am giving this a good review even though I have not personally seen the fans. I had them shipped to a rental home in Key West to replace a few of the old style box fans that have served their life span. I thought these looked a little better and hope they are less prone to blowing over. July 12, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Sleep Tight Love this fan. I can't sleep without a fan. This fan is not loud, strong force of circulation. July 17, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by good product good performance, recommended for summertime relief July 16, 2016
