Answer:
the body of the fan is plastic so it can be wiped clean with a cloth..the fan blades and inside according to instructions should be "vacuumed" with a dust attachment..you cannot take the back or front off to clean the blades..

Answer:
Just cleaned my old one, very easy to do. Two small screws hold cover face on, remove the screws and loosen tabs, comes right off. Used paper towels to clean fan blades and a small brush to clean front and back grills. Ten to fifteen minutes max.

It is a superior product. 3 speed and tilt fan allows directional air flow. I set on floor and directed slightly upward. Great product

Hi, Ron. Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. Store inventory is consistently changing. We do our best to update store pricing and inventory amounts as they change. However, there may be slight difference in store pricing or inventory compared to what is listed online. We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future. CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 122 reviewers.
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Decent fan, returned due to wobble This fan moves a lot of air and is reasonably quiet. However, the the fan blade assembly was a little off-center on the the unit I purchased which caused some wobbling. I ended up returning the fan to the store with the intention of exchanging it for the same thing. I was impressed that the return clerk said I could open another one and test it at the store before purchasing it. After walking over to the fan section to pick one up I changed my mind and ended up getting an all metal fan (http://www.homedepot.com/p/20-in-High-Velocity-Floor-Fan-SFC1-500BI/202757016). So, overall, it's a pretty good fan, but check it at the store for wobble if you can. May 12, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Handle is flimsy First and foremost this is a fan so I wasn't expecting much but I did notice the handle that is incorporated in the design of the fan is very flimsy, so much, that instead of using it to move the fan I chose to forego using the handle. I pick up the whole fan when & if I find a need to reposition it. Thought about returning it but I haven't. May 10, 2016
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by A very powerful fan The fan generates a good flow of air. I feel it will be very useful during the summer months. My one problem with it is it is too noisy. Even on the lowest setting, it is very loud. I like the various positions you can place it in. Unfortunately, I would never have purchased it had I known how loud it is. May 8, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Have used this fan for years and LOVE IT! I've used this fan for many years. It last and last and does not accumulate dust easily, does not need cleaning often at all. I just bought my fourth one. It runs so smoothly, doesn't rattle or have any annoying sounds. My favorite fan. May 5, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by AWESOMENESS! 1st up the one and only thing that could be different maybe? Is the handle design. You ut your fingers through the back under the control dial. In carrying it doesn't even things out right. But every thing else i hope they dont' touch. cause the handle is no big deal. You will get your bang for your buck with this Fan!!! the air flow is perfect and it works great!! I love the idea that you can mount this fan as well. I dont' have the need to do so that I know of but i totally can see this as a great feature when needed. ANd might even use this in the future. I Love the way you can adjust where the fan points (even up in the air)! It is not to heavy nor too light ether. I use to have another one like this and it lasted for many years and many falls or knock overs. I don't' remember the name of the brand of the other one. But love this one. I have had it for a few months. bought it before winter because they sell out fast here in Southern California and i didn't want to be out plus it stays pretty warm even HOT in the winter here as well. I also bought 2 of the Lasko box fans. I totally did not want to be with out a fan. or having to pay $50 for a fan at a Mom and Pop shop that you had to put together and prop up on a chair and worry someone was going to get hurt on it. That was a nightmare. Fans and AC;s were SOLD OUT everywhere. So happy i bought this one. and the other Laskos. Totally recommend this one to all. April 19, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great fan! Bought to assist drying a water damaged basement. Probably not the best fan for this purpose, but in conjunction with a couple of Rigid air movers, it did the job. I do think this this fan will work well to move air on the hot summer evenings. It is very sturdily built, well balanced and the option of moving the direction of air flow up or down is very desirable. March 22, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Does what it should Works like it should. Can't complain. Had to send the first one back due to it was damaged but the second was fine. March 29, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by I love it. It's amazing for the price! A total Gem!! I definitely Recomend!! March 16, 2016
