Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 6 reviewers.
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Not the Mount for Me This monitor mount is an exercise in frustration. First, the cord cover was shattered in several places. I thought this kind of strange because the mount is packaged pretty well. It actually was OK enough to press on because the cord cover still worked, it just looked awful. The instructions are average but there is no listing or diagram for the screws/bits. There is one bag containing everything and there is no way to identify what is what. I spent more time trying to sort out the screws than installing the mount. The quality of the mount is great. It's metal and very solid feeling. The 2 large screws that bolt onto the desk are padded and fit my thin, Ikea desk easily. Really, this mount feels substantial. The problem comes about with the monitor mounting. It's terrible. First, there are 2 screws that set the monitor height. Problem is, even the lowest setting still left 6" of space between my desk and the bottom of the monitor. This is too much space. Adjusting the height is not an easy affair with 2 finicky screws and a bubble level. So, at the lowest setting and with the mount level, I attached the monitor. I have a 25" Asus 1440p monitor. The first attempt had the monitor so askew it was almost funny. After fiddling with the 4 large knobs on the arm, I was able to get it *almost* level. But not level. Any time I adjusted one knob, some other knob would loosen, and the whole thing would list to the side. After at least an hour and bruised fingers (from the adjustment knobs), I ripped the thing off my desk. Almost level might work for some people, but not me. My computer monitor must be level or I would lose my sanity. This stand looks good and feels solid. But it's just a headache from beginning to end. Very difficult height adjustment. Depth & side-to-side adjustment causes the monitor shift off-level. It's just too frustrating to deal with. August 24, 2016
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Poor quality The first monitor mount I received had a broken cable cover. The packaging was in no way damaged. I requested a replacement. The replacement arrived and the box showed no signs of damage or rough handling. When I opened the box I discovered that once again the monitor stand had a broken cable cover. Upon examine the cable covers I found them to be extremely brittle and liable to break easily. I cannot recommend nor use this product. August 30, 2016
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Heavy basic mount but poor instructions. Upon opening the box, one can be a little overwhelmed by the full box of screws, bolts, nuts and washers. Since it only takes four screws to attach the screen to the mount, most of the screws/bolts are for different types of screens and will not be used. The assembly of the arm is somewhat self-explanatory which is good because the instructions are leave a lot to the imagination. Actually, there aren’t any written instructions, just a small sheet with pictures. Adjusting the height requires removing the screen, and arm. There are two bolts that can be loosened to make the adjustment but these are behind the vertical post which means if your desk is against a wall, as mine is, you have to get behind it to be able to get to access the bolts. In my case, the whole assembly would not adjust high enough (by about 1") because I have my second screen above my laptop. However, this is better than setting my screen on a block of wood which is what I had been doing. The most frustrating thing I noticed is that when the mount was positioned in the desired location, the screen was out of level. I could not figure out how to bring the screen into level compared to the table. I disassembled the whole unit, tried to make sure everything was square and level and then reassembled the whole thing to no avail. I realized that the four joints in the arm have enough slack to keep the screen from being level compared to the vertical post and table. This was especially noticeable when the arm was swung all the way to the left or right. I was so disappointed by this lack of apparent adjustment that I went to the company’s website to try to find out how to adjust the screen. Their website had better instructions but still didn’t mention anything about how to rotate the screen to level. I was actually to the point where I was about to put a shim into the joints to try and level the screen when I noticed that the part that mounts to the back of the screen is round. I grabbed the screen, tried to rotate it and to my astonishment it rotated! It was very stiff so I could see how it would not have rotated previously. Also, there’s no knob to tighten anything here so it doesn’t look like it moves (every other joint has a knob to tighten it). One of the plastic chord covers for the back of the stand was broken in the box. It obviously got smashed by the heavy parts during shipping as the box was in good condition. I really don’t care about this because I’m not going to use it but they really should do something to better protect the fragile pieces from the heavy parts. Overall, I am happy with this mount especially after I figured out how to rotate the screen to level. The instructions and directions leave a lot to be desired. Luckily, the installation is fairly straight-forward but it would be nice to have some direction as to how the arm can articulate as well as how to adjust the screen to be level. August 20, 2016
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works well for our desk My wife has wanted an adjustable mount for her computer for some time. She works from home and has her desk configured in an L shape with a wireless keyboard and mouse so she can work from either side depending on whatever task she is performing. With the standard monitor stand she was limited in the ability of having the monitor directly in front of her, she had it in the corner where it would kind of work from either viewpoint. With this she can position it directly in front of her at both work spaces. It was very easy to assemble and mount to her desk and I will probably get another one for our home computer as well. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Some shortcomings This is certainly a sturdy support but sadly it has some shortcomings. 1) There is no adjustment to adjust the monitor so that it is perfectly horizontal. If the monitor is swung out to the left the play in the joints means that the left edge of the monitor is lower than the right. If the monitor is swung out to the right the play in the joints means that the right edge of the monitor is lower than the left. One needs to be able to rotate the monitor so that it is horizontal. 2) The tilt of the monitor is adjustable only in increments. I want to tilt it back just a little less than it is and I can only go to vertical. 3) The height adjustment is rather tricky if you do not have access to the back of the vertical support pole. This is the case when the edge of the desk is against a wall or other furniture. One has to hold some nuts on the back while the bolts are screwed in from the front. Different hardware could resolve that design issue. The bracket arm attached without any problems to my Dell monitor. Adapter brackets and numerous bolts and spacers are supplied for different monitors and TVs. The bracket part that attaches to the edge of the desk needs an inch of space between the desk and the wall/adjacent furniture. My desk has a 2" slot in place for a monitor support, but even that was not enough space to get the bracket in place. Since the desk is against a wall, I had to remove a desk panel to get the arm in place. It would be nice if the desk bracket could be dismantled and reassembled in place in such situations. The arm and monitor can be easily unclipped from the vertical support pole. Despite pretty good packaging design, a plastic cable cover for the rear of the support pole was broken during shipping, even though there was no outside damage to the shipping container and product box. i.e. the item was broken due to its own weight hitting against cardboard. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great monitor mount The Desktop Mount with a Full Motion Dual Arm Mount is great for saving space on the desk. The installation and set up only took a few minutes and was very simple. The motion range of the mount is very useful. The mount seems to be very stable and strong. I have a 22" monitor attached to it and it doesn't have any problems. This is a very nice for any desk. September 8, 2016
