Answer:
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to adjust these. Other than knowing that the screw holes will probably not match the existing holes in your cabinet door and placing the hinge just right. Make sure that the hinges are level with the cabinet and that the hinges are in the right area for your door size and height.

I'm trying to replace old hinges on 60's style cabinets and would prefer the ones with a spring, just don't want to have to drill new holes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Hinges I bought 32 pairs of these hinges for cabinets in a house built in 1980. They work well enough, but they are pretty flimsy, and easily bent. They go on quick but you have to be careful not to over tighten or bend them. I had a pretty hard time getting them on so they would keep the cabinets closed. The spring loaded ones which I tried just did not work at all without a tremendous amount of effort (also known as patience and determination) and I just didn't want to work that hard at putting on 64 hinges so I got these. I would recommend them even though they are not as good as the hinges I took off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works! Had to take back some other hinges from HD and went with these. They work perfect with my kitchen cabinets. My cabinets are from 1970 and we are sprucing them up with fresh paint and hardware. First hinges wouldn't allow the door to sit flush and open smooth. Replaced them with these and they work great. The only down side is that they are a little too smooth so I have to install some magnetic catch plates and we will be in good shape! good product.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OK, not great. I bought 40 of these for cabinets installed in my home in the 70s that I updated. To start with the odd, there were three distinct packages in the mix, some with felt pads included, some short a screw, and some with extra (I ended up with 2 extras). The holes didn't line up on the doors very well, though this could have been thanks to the older cabinets. The construction was inconsistent, with some of the hinges being too tight, and some being too loose. Overall, you are getting what you pay for, but they do function as intended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High quality look, works as it should I am very pleased with how great these look when I renovated a vanity in the master bathroom. They were also easy to install and work as you would expect them to.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Product is fine, but customer service and web site are poor I looked at the web site AND called up customer service and asked, "Are there two hinges per package or one?" because at the store, they were two to a package but the web site indicated one and the live person indicated one. So I ordered 90 packages for 42 doors (plus some extra), And guess what? They showed up TWO to a package. At least I can return them to a local store.
