Loctite Epoxy Metal/Concrete is a two-part system consisting of an epoxy resin and a hardener. The convenient syringe dispenses equal amounts of each component every time. When mixed in equal volumes, resin and hardener react to produce a tough, rigid, high strength bond in 5 to 12 minutes. It is used as an adhesive for repairing, filling and rebuilding all metal and concrete surfaces. Loctite Epoxy Metal/Concrete does not conduct electricity which is ideal for sealing electrical components. It cures to a metallic gray finish and can be easily sanded or machined. It does not shrink and is resistant to water and most common solvents.

Answer:
Yes, this product works on stainless steel and before applying the product the surfaces must be clean, dry and free from oil, wax and paint. Roughen smooth surfaces for better adhesion.

CUSTOMER REVIEWS

Rated 3.1 out of 5 by 11 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Birdbath Repair The birdbath bowl got tipped over and broke in 4 major pieces. This aggregate, solid concrete bird bath is very heavy and hard to handle. This particular birdbath bowl is not available from anyone. I used 8 sets of the epoxy glue. With the sections propped upside down started gluing one piece to another and letting it set for day then gluing the next piece. After 4 days turned it over and applied glue to fill the 4 cracks and let set a day. This glue was easy to use and mixed up easily. As you can see from the pictures the glue held the bowl together to handle the weight of the solid granite ball. I know this is a small project, but is saved over $150 if is was replaced. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by This stuff is incredible! I have used JB Weld in the past with okay success. It didn't do well exactly what I wanted to do, or maybe I didn't let it cure the full time, but in any case, I wanted to try something different, so looking online for suggestions, I came across Loctite's Metal Epoxy, viewed a video review, and thought I'd give it a shot. I was doing small repairs to a number of appliances with various small problems - handles coming off - small little things, but that needed to be able to withstand repeated use and though not a ton of force, repeated applications of it. I won't say how it will end up a year from now, since I don't know, but WOW - this is a VERY strong bond. I mixed the two parts, applied the epoxy and clamped it. I also immediately cleaned up the surrounding area with a q-tip and acetone to make for a finished look. I let it cure for 48 hours, double the recommended 24. Then, I sort of tried, which I shouldn't be doing, really going at it to see if I could break it. Despite a very reasonable amount of force, it held very well - no cracking - no budging. Stainless steel to stainless steel - seemingly perfect bond. Be patient - let it set. This will be your friend.... and at something like $5, how can you go wrong? This was awesome. February 25, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Shelf Life Fail I bought 1 tube of this to try it out for a project, it worked well, all though it was hard to get out of the tube. After results of first tube, went ahead and bought 6 more (project will require many more). I got delayed for a few months while the material sat in my house (room temp, nothing exotic). Just tried to get going again, all tubes are a loss, the grey side has completely hardened off. Henkel's website spec sheet explains how to decode the date code for the tubes, they are Dec 2013, it's now Jan 2015, so that's 13 months. Claims a shelf life of 18 months. That definitely didn't hold true. It's a real shame, as the tube that worked, had great results, but there is definitely a shelf life issue here. I doubt the tubes seal off very well due the the plunger. Would be better if they just sold it in 2 separate toothpaste/paint squeeze tubes, lets face it the double barrel deals have always been terrible designs. January 7, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Terrible Product. DO NOT BUY. Wish I read the reviews before purchasing. Like everyone else said, gray portion would not come out of the tube no matter how hard I pushed. Occassionally a TINY BIT would squeeze out before getting stuck again. Could not get enough out for mixing. Waste of money and time. 1 reviewer suggested we heat gun the item prior for the gray potion to come out. Glad that works for you but the product -should- be designed to work without ME having to go the extra mile to FORCE it to work. Making me do a stupid work around = failure of a product and it's unacceptable. Take your money elsewhere and buy another epoxy brand. I will never trust Loctite again. (I highly suggest "The Original Super Glue" brand of Epoxy. Last time I got the green version w/5 min set time. It's AMAZING but super hard to find I don't know why. I couldn't find it for the life of me which is why I decided to try this brand instead. Learned my lesson. Never trying another brand again. /annoyed) June 26, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Won't come out of tube Stay away from this product. The grey portion of the mix will not push out of the tube with the plunger. I even pushed an ice pick down into the tube to make sure it was not clogged. Either it is old stock, has poor shelf like, or a badly formulated product. I returned it, and got J-D weld. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Garbage Wanted to use this product to adhere metal moulding strips to a concrete floor. I bought two tubes as I had several strips to fasten. Niether would dispense the material. I had to use so much force on the second one, that the handle broke in my hand. I finally cut the bottom of the syringe off and mixed the materia manually, and it would not harden. Complete waste of time. GARBAGE December 8, 2013
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by NEEDS WARMTH IFYOU USE THIS PRODUCT IT NEEDS TO BE HEATED WITH A HEAT GUN FIRST. PULL PLUNGERS BACK SNIP THE TOPS FOR EXPANTION. HEAT UNTILL RESIN FALL DOWN INTO THE TUBE. THEN IT COME OUT EASYLY. THIS IS A STRONG BOND. April 7, 2014
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Would not recommend Would not dispense evenly, the grey side wouldn't come out at all after about 1/4 inch of push on the plunger. Right in the trash can and going back to buy something I know works. March 22, 2014
