Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by valentek I can now control my fan and light, with ease
I replaced a Hampton Bay fan/light control switch that just was not working as it should after 10 years of use. This new switch is working much better, and the guts are also a bit smaller so it fits in the switch box without bulging out.
The only issue is you also need to put in the control module on the fan. This would have been easy with a new install, but was a bear with the fan already installed.
The Hampton Bay module may have worked with this switch, but I did not want to have to do it twice.
It would be nice if the control modules could be made smaller.
I've had this running for about a month, so only time will tell as to it lifespan, So far I am very happy with the performance and 7 fan speeds.

Easy install and sure beats fishing extra wire to control the fan.

Love this switch. For the price it's a great deal for all it does. And it looks great too.

I'm not a fan of the remote controls included on most ceiling fans. To me, they look odd when mounted on the wall and may easily disrupt the aesthetics of a room. If hidden from plain sight, the remote may be hard to find and you may see yourself looking through every corner/furniture of the house without great success (A very real scenario if you have kids).
This is why i've installed "Maestro" switches everywhere there's a fan and could not be happier. The switch is on the pricey side, retailing for $54.97 as of 1/24/16. However, it's worth every penny!!! The switch increases the number of speed settings (Low to High) for any fan in order to find the desired air movement. This comes in handy, since most manufactures only offer a LOW, MEDIUM or HIGH setting for the motor speed.

Light indicator on switch kept moving or cycling up and down. Did not turn the fan or light on or off.

I really like these light/fan outlets. It so easy to have your fan so it's going slow enough to serqulate the air without causing a draft or high enough on a realty warm day. When we move I change all the switches over

The lutron fan/light switch is ideal for controlling your fan assembly from an existing switch location. It controls the fan and light with only one switch leg and uses the A.C. power in the wall to power it. So no batteries to change, and no interference from other remote controls in the room. I just recently replaced this switch because the old one finally bit the dust. The old Lutron switch was 21 years old, and still worked, I just broke one of the adjuster rockers.
