Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Poppy A++ Best Grinder Ever ! !
6 years of personal hard use and abuse. Tortured and used just about every weekend. Built two ground up hotrods and many household projects. I was ridiculed for not buying a Dewalt but that same person needed it for a week in the oilfield when his Dewalt died. This grinder has been dropped a few times but always worked. Ground down and cut miles of steel and all metals. The cord never cracked or failed. The grip handle cracked on 6th year but never changed the performance. I disassembled the grinder thinking the bearing failed but it was the ring gear. Sold forever on the grinder. No complaints except it quit working at 10:00 pm on a Saturday night and Home Depot was closed. I'm going to get one after I complete this review.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Nova98cobra Best Grinder I have Ever Owned!
I use this grinder daily working with metal. I have put probably 500 hours on it, and have never had any issues. I have even used it with a paint disk to strip a car and despite the air ducts being clogged from paint it never over heated!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jake Worked fine!
I bought the grinder to remove half inch bolts that were imbedded in concrete base that held a deck together. It ground off the bolts in no time. My buddy who used the grinder loved it so much he wanted to take it from me! No lie! I love Makita tools. I was a Dewalt guy but Makita seems to make better products. Besides, I like blue better than that obnoxious yellow that Dewalt prefers.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by hens Great tool, good value
This grinder has efficiently done tile, grout and plaster removal during demolition, concrete floor cutting, and cutting into brick walls without skipping a beat. It has a simple and robust means for adjustment (e.g. handle and shield) and wheel changes. This is a solid performer.

Big projects require adequate tools. I've been chopping parts off an old Honda motorcycle using my trusty ol' Dremel MultiPro, mostly for lame budgetary reasons (logic was to use what tools I have) and it was taking forever. Cutting parts off not only took forever with my Dremel, as you could imagine, but I had to go back and clean it all up with some tiny stone and sandpaper bits... Enough was enough and sure I had my choice of going the budget Harbor Freight route as many do but Makita is such a trusted name and for good reason. Easy to unpack and go. It's pretty quiet too considering I'm chopping stuff off (I do wear earplugs anyway). This angle grinder has been the best purchase I made in a while. I know I'll be getting a lot more use out of it. I love it.
