I could not get my chainsaw to run well after loaning it to others where it was used with ethanol/gasoline/lubricating oil mixes. I took it to two different small engine repair shops where it was tuned up, sharpened and adjusted. The saw would start easily enough but ran rough and could not develop much power for cutting. The 4 ounce Mechanic In A Bottle Synthetic Fuel Additive promised to quickly fix this engine without having to remove the carburetor, to rejuvenate rubber and plastic components, and keep engine in top working condition, avoiding repairs and down time. I carefully followed the directions provided and let the additive work overnight. I mixed fresh, non-ethanol additive gasoline with a new 2-cycle fuel lubricant to give the saw the best chance at recovery. When I started the engine it again ran rough and would not saw through a 6-inch log without bogging down and coming to a stop. I returned this chainsaw to the repair center and bought a new one.

I was having problems with my Stihl string trimmer (my own fault, didn't store it properly over the winter), wouldn't start. I followed the directions and drained the tank, added 2oz of MIB and after priming it in and pulling the cord to run it into the fuel system the thing actually started up, I didn't even need to let it sit, just let it run a few minutes on what was left in the fuel line. Put in fresh premix and I was good to go. Fantastic stuff!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by homedepotcustomer Honda EU3000is generator sputtering at high rpm
Honda EU3000is generator sputtering at high rpm, researched solutions alternative to rebuilding carb. Found claims regarding performance of this product and thought, "What can it hurt to try?" I was very surprised, at first did not make much of a difference, but after following manufacture recommendations my EU is running like a dream, no sputtering at high, or low, rpm. This product actually works and is at least worth a test for $6

My 2-stage snowblower wouldn't start. I added some Mechanic in a Bottle to the gas and got it running. Glad I found this product and saved a service call!

I had a snowblower that was over 10 years old that I basically did nothing from a maintenance standpoint and I really thought it caught up with me. I could not use the snowblower without it shutting down and then couldn't start again. I dumped the whole bottle when the tank was about 1/3 full and let ran it till it ran out of gas. Filled up the tank and was golden. I really don't understand why it was so effective but it worked lol!

I was skeptical when a friend recommended this product to me, and wondered how it could possibly work as well as he described. After running an entire bottle through my sputtering and stalling lawnmower, my mower has been running "good-as-new". Mechanic in a Bottle saved me an $80 carburetor rebuild, and I highly recommend it. GREAT PRODUCT!

Tried this product in my 3 year old generator. I run the generator every 3 weeks and let it run out of gas each time. It was running very rough and tried using this product along with changing the fuel and replacing the spark plug. It did not make it run any smother. Decided not to mess around and brought it into a qualified mechanic.

Needed an additive to help get my saws and lawn maintenance equipment running their best. Added a little to the fuel and ran each piece of equipment for 5-10 minutes. I started to notice smoother running, better throttle response and easier starts. This is not a cure-all product or a way to repair mechanical damages to small engines. Further adjustments to my equipment may still be necessary to ensure the best operation possible. I’m using this additive in all my ongoing fuel mixes.
