Where can Ifind a replacement O ring for the seal at the valve's internal inlet??? it may be a metric size; not in my selection.

Asked by: Warren
It's not an O-ring. It's a garden hose washer. They used to be made of hard rubber, but are now mostly nylon or some sort of plastic. Any hardware store or nursery/garden supply store will have then for two bits each. They are all the same size.

Asked by: Ash
Yes, mine is on a 5/8" hose. Most hoses have a standard size fitting regardless of the hose diameter. They fit on the faucet/hose bibs we have outside our houses.

Lasted two season before the trigger would not automatically return- which defeats the purpose of it for the most part. I took it apart and found a mostly degraded mild steel spring inside. This is an inexcusable cost-saving short cut in a device that will be used with water. Put a stainless spring inside and charge another $2 for it instead of selling a product with a "planned obsolescence" buried inside. Another issue is the plastic lever for the trigger. Don't drop it- it may crack/split if it hits hard ground just right.

This nozzle like mostly all residential models, has plastic parts (not nylon) to regulate the water flow and the water pattern. The selector rotates around a molded plastic assembly (shown in yellow) that is flimsy and weak. Mine didn't operate long with just regular use. Either the plastic water control screw at the back breaks off or the plastic pivot inside the yellow water stream selector breaks. Don't even think of dropping it on hard ground, because anything on it made of plastic may fracture and soon break and make it useless. Consider buying a nozzle that has a brass screw in the back for adjusting the water plunger. It will most likely be threaded into a brass shaft (plunger) and not break off if you drop the hose end. No, I didn't roll my car over it or run my lawn mower over it. I just dropped the hose curling it up and it developed a crack in the plastic and broke soon thereafter. Don't waste your money on plastic nozzles or even metal nozzles with internal plastic water control parts. Metal construction is just a few dollars more and will last for years. This review is from a real customer who paid full price. The bitterness of cheap quality remains much longer then the allure of low price.

The body is cast pot metal, the innards are nylon or plastic, and the steel spring that holds the valve closed is made of low grade steel which starts to rust the first time the nozzle is used. It is a toss up whether that spring corrodes away or the plastic hinge on the operating lever breaks first. If I ever find something like this made of brass, I'll buy one and never have to waste time or money on this Chinese made junk again.

I chose this model over the front-trigger model because when I tried the front-trigger in the store, I pinched my hand. That being said, I was disappointed in the purchase as the soaker setting did not work. The water came from the nozzle in a fast stream but never went anywhere. We returned it to the store and exchanged it for another one thinking the first one was faulty. The second one works as the first one. Now I am wondering just what the soaker setting is supposed to accomplish as both nozzles acted the same. All in all it's a good nozzle for the money.

The trigger works OK for me and I have arthritis in my hands . I can manage with this nozzle. The only negative thing is that I frequentl y have to retighten the nozzle on the hose as it loosens up and leaks. I guess I will have to get a wrench out and tighten it with that. Even my husband has tightened it by hand and he is very strong. Slightest thing and it is loose again and leaks.

They usually work well in the beginning and then over a period of time the cheap rubber and plastic parts wear out and they don't work well anymore and you throw them in the garbage. Speaking of garbage - my garbage can is located next to where my hose is and i think my garbage man has stolen a couple of my nozzles (now I hide them). They are average.
