Product Overview

The Milwaukee 13-Piece General-Purpose Hole Dozer Hole Saw Kit features Rip Guard teeth that were built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. They give you increased productivity on the job site as well as better hole quality, and are backed by a limited lifetime tooth break warranty. The Hole Dozer comes with a Plug Jack, an all-access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack enables access lower into the cup for thick material and higher toward the teeth for thin material. What size hole saws are included in this set?

This seems like important information to include in the description.
Asked by: vastbern
Listed on my package: 9 hole saws: 3/4, 7/8, 1-1/8, 1-3/8, 1-1/2, 1-3/4, 2, 2-1/8, 2-1/2. However, the 1-3/4 was missing, with another 1-1/2 in place of it. Took back one 1-1/2 to local store and tool manager swapped me into a 1-3/4.

could this product be used for cutting holes in metal

Asked by: Anonymous
They are bi-metal and the included instructions list mild steel, stainless steel, cast iron and aluminum. In my opinion, however, I would be cautious about using them on steel. Aluminum should be ok. I use them only on wood, so have no experience using on any metal.

I needed to cut 20+, 2 1/2" holes through 1/4" channel solid, steel beams; it was either a bi-metal hole saw or a $300+ hole punch kit. The Milwaukee 2 1/2" saw finally bit the dust after about 16 holes. I live in a rural location that's not close to Home Depot and the local hardware stores usually carry only one brand (not Milwaukee). I tried a couple other (name) brands on (Irwin, Lenox); wouldn't even cut one hole before the teeth sheared down to almost nothing. I defaulted to the next smaller size in my Milwaukee kit for the last few holes and I'm sure there's still some life left in the 2" hole saw. However, I went ahead and ordered "replacement" hole saws for my kit. These are - far and away - the best performing of any I've used. Git'cha some!

Hole saws are fine, but arbor for larger bits has serious problem, The small set screw at allow slide back for two drive pins is missing internal spring for small hold bearing. Plus you do not enclose a smaller hex key to operate slide back. You have larger hex key for bit replacement, but making installation of larger hole saw on larger arbor is impossible with tools and lacking of complete arbor materials.

Cut for a while, dulled fairly quickly even just drilling in pine, and if cutting deeper than 1/2 inch heat built up quickly and produced smoke. Like I said, did the job, but my next set i will look for another brand.

Like the construction. It is good they have a lock to hold the holesaw in place .. forget to lock it once and it could have been troublesome. Will use many times.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Has the bits used most of the time, at least for us. I got tired of ordering full sets of hole saws, and having some of them, usually under 2 1/2" get worn out and the larger ones multiplying since they are not used as often. This is a good small bit set, and they cut well.
