Product Overview

The Milwaukee Hole Dozer Hole Saw features Rip guard, the strongest tooth form in the industry, backed by the Rip guard limited lifetime tooth break warranty. Each tooth is built with more steel behind the cutting edge for added strength. The Rip Guard warranty on tooth breaks is a first for the hole saw industry. The added tooth strength along with 8% cobalt give added life to the teeth, allowing for increased productivity on the jobsite, as well as continued hole quality. The Hole Dozer includes Plug Jack, an all access slot design that allows for full access during plug removal. The Plug Jack gives access lower into the cup for thick material and higher towards the teeth for thin material. With multiple positions to apply leverage and better plug access, Plug Jack increases productivity and eliminates wasted downtime between holes. For fast, tool-free change-outs, use Milwaukee's universal Quick-Change Arbors. 49-56-7210, 49-56-7240, 49-56-7250 and 49-56-9100.

I used this with a quick change center drill bit arbor from Milwaukee and this was an excellent hole saw through my roof for a new attic fan vent. Makita 18V LXT 1/2 drill in higher torque mode was sufficient to cut through without flaw or trouble, maintaining light pressure and letting the saw do the work. A heavier duty drill would have provided even more torque, and with a handle mounted I think this saw would have drilled through quite rapidly. Excellent quality, excellent performance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job if you keep it cool I see a number of reviews criticize this saw because it dulled on them in both wood or metal. I too have ruined some of these hole saws in the past by not keeping them cool while sawing the hole. Use lots of oil or soapy water in a spray bottle to cool the teeth as you are drilling and the saw teeth will retain their temper and saw efficiently. This one worked great to cut a taillight hole in jeep CJ body armor .

I have only used this hole saw to drill through maybe 5 2x4 plates and it seems to be doing ok. Not so for the 4" size I bought a several months ago; it was dull after cutting through a single pine rim joist. Not what I would expect from Milwaukee! I'm not a fan of yellow tools, but the dewalt hole saw I replaced it with was deeper and is holding up well.

Bored 20 holes in 1/4" steel plate and this saw is as sharp after the last as it was on the first. Used plenty of cutting oil, enough pressure to produce continuous chips, and 250 rpm speed on my drill press. Holes are clean and round. All this and a lifetime tooth breakage warranty? Very impressive and highly recommended.

The hole saw did what it was designed for I bored 10 holes in 3\4 thick cast iron plates with only one hole saw I completed the job under the estimated time which equals profit They are good for those who know feeds and speed run them a slow rpm and they will last many jobs down the road

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product. I needed a hole saw to handle several types of material all in the same cut. Cut through steel, then wood then plastic without hesitation and with little feed pressure. Connects to my existing Milwaukee spindle with no issues. I will likely buy more sizes based on my experience.
