Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 43 reviewers.
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Works as designed This mandrel is easy to use and also easy to remove from the hole saw when finished. April 2, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Really good...almost The quick change arbor was easy to use and easy to change hole saw sizes great design and I would have given it a 5 star rating if one of the retaining lugs hadn't kept falling out. I will talk to the store about an exchange. March 26, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great product, once use explained I agree with other commenters, it should not be necessary to remove the smaller set screw. This screw holds small ball bearing and spring that make the quick-disconnect feature work. Because of inadequate instructions with point-of-sale packaging, I too, took out the smaller set screw (larger set screw holds twist drill) only to have the ball bearing fall to floor and I never did see a spring. I had to return the original item to my retailer. I wonder how many get returned before Milwaukee Tool will agree to improve packaging instructions for what is otherwise a great product. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to use This product works great with the larger whole saws. When it is time to change sizes, the alignment dowels ensure the bit isn't lodged into the saw making the swap easier to accomplish. October 16, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Easy to Use and Strong This was included in the Milwaukee 14 piece bi-metal hole saw set. Simply pull back the collar, thread on the hole saw and push the collar back. The threads are very good quality and clean, so the hole saw spins on effortlessly. Best of all, NO TOOLS REQUIRED! There is no need to remove the allen screw, it just destroys the arbor. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Modifiable and tough. I needed to install some recessed D-Rings into the thin plywood of my cargo trailer. I required a hole saw with no arbor, or at least a nearly flush one. Anything else could penetrate thru to the outer skin of the trailer. I could find no kits under $100 that included the 3" hole saw I needed, so parting it out I went! After a few minutes of agonizing searching while on the clock, I found there are no arbor-less hole saws. Only option was to cut one. I chose the Milwaukee for it's known reliability. Onto the modification, the drill bit for the arbor itself is removable with a hex screw, and I was able to cut the back end off enough that the very tip of the bit sets above the hole saw teeth. (I removed 5/16") I used a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel, , and some cold water to aid cutting the bit. Took about 5 minutes with stopping to cool the bit. Works perfectly. Cut 18 three inch holes in less than 45 minutes paired with a Porter Cable 20v drill. (I was very careful, not a pro by far) None went thru the outer paneling. Hooray! Using it is very easy. Push down on the collar, screw on the saw, push the collar back up. Done. Put it in your drill and make some holes! Later on, I'll probably need to buy a small set, or just what I need. Plenty of quality options available. April 12, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Lost parts My only complaint would be that the set screw design for holding the arbor in place is not intuitive. One of my workers lost the ball bearing and spring the first time useing it. I'll purchase a new arbor and give specific instructions to workers who might try to use it in the future. January 7, 2015
