This 18 Volt Hackzall is worth its weight in gold,I'm a union electrician in NYC and I use this tool every day at work. Its very powerful and the battery lasts a long time (battery is sold separate) Buy the larger battery it holds a charge longer. This tool is very convenient and easy to handle. No more running extension cords all over the place .I love this tool so much that I ordered one from Home Depot for my own personal use.I highly recommend this tool, buy it,you will not be disappointed

I use this tool the most out of all my tools and it has been the best investment I've bought. It can handle some of the toughest of jobs. Strongly recommend for any trade professional.

Mostly used for tree pruning. Purchased a 9" pruning blade and does ok with cutting branches with one hand. However, two hands on the tool is best and much safer. Sometimes I feel the tool is going through the motion of cutting but not making much progress with the cut. Feel I have to manipulate the tool to get it to complete any cut.
I think a better option for myself is to buy a Harbor Frieght corded rec saw for $20 if access to nearby power AC.

Great one handed operation. A little heavier than it looks. Not many blades specifically made for the unit but the sawsall ones work well with the unit. I use the larger batteries so if you have some smaller ones that may lighten it a little.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by seejaypee The "Sawzmost" is a lifesaver!
I got one of these as a bonus tool with a drill, two smaller batteries and a charger I purchased about 2 years ago. The drill was a massive letdown and was long since replaced but this little tool has done everything I have thrown at it. I've used it in place of a sawzall/recip saw on a daily basis as a home renovator and it handles everything; cutting out base plates in doorways, cutting ABS or copper pipe, notching joists/studs or for stair/rafter inside cuts and so much easier to use it when on a roof or up a ladder than a full size sawzall, and no cord in the way. It is all in the blades with reciprocating saws and the lightweight nature of this tool makes it incredibly easy to manipulate. The thin kerf blades they market for these tools are great, but throw an "ax" or a "torch" in it and it easily becomes a perfect, convenient, lightweight demo tool. Don't underestimate the power of these little beauties.
